[Ami, you're not the only one with actual social skills. Here's Robert, fluttering around like the social butterfly he is. He lacks his normally-ever-present mechanical jerkiness, and is moving around with an ease that seems totally unfitting of him.
He practically sparkles as he notices Ami - it's been far too long, they need to catch up!]
Ami! It's wonderful to see you; my, we haven't talked in ages! Have you been doing well? You certainly seem happy and relaxed today!
[Yes, he can actually tell. No, that's not unusual at all.]
Splendid - I'm glad you're feeling so wonderful today. But it is that kind of day, isn't it? [He definitely seems well, by most normal standards - bright, cheery, emotional - and though Ami would normally warrant happiness from Robert, it'd be far more stilted than this.]
Would I ever! Are there going to be others there, too? It's always more fun with more people!
[Going over to peoples' houses on a whim is wonderful and not social-phobia-inducing at all!]
[Actually, Giles thought of a way to get around that for his party. Oh man, two parties in one day. Or something. Is Robert going to be socially phobic for his own party?]
Our best friends, of course! ... Though I don't like to exclude anybody...
Come to think of it, Giles and I were planning a party soon, too. He was gonna get the Doctor to help us out with that one box of his that somehow bends physics...
[Holding a party in the TARDIS. This experiment may be the greatest thing to happen to Luceti ever.]
... Think you'd wanna have it overlap somehow? Though I'd still love to come over, even if it's just the two of us, or only a few people.
I'd love to! Maybe I could introduce you to the Doctor, and Giles, you and I can make some plans with him.
[His smile turns softer as he regards Ami.] But it really has been too long since we've talked - just us. And I've realized some things, since then. [His expression is earnest - softened. His memories of Ami, overlaid with his new neurotypical perspective, have given him new insight into what might've been the problem that he caused.]
And I'm sure he'd love to meet you too! He's just a wonderful sort of person like that. All bright and cheerful.
[Pretty much like how Robert's being right now, actually.]
... But what've you been up to, Ami? I mean... wow, it's been a few weeks since we talked... surely you must've been doing some very interesting things!
I've been spending as much time with everyone as I can. [That's... right, isn't it? Why does it feel like this started more recently than that...? Ah, well, it's probably nothing.]
Same here! [Though... yeah, same cognitive errors here, though Robert is meaning more since the event-that-he-doesn't-know-is-an-event started.] It's just so wonderful to spend time with friends. I can't imagine why I was ever uncomfortable.
I won't, not while I can spend time with you, Ami. [Robert flits up alongside her.
Overthinking about social situations? Robert? Nah, he'd never do that. Enjoying Ami's company is more than enough.]
Say, did you want to go to get anything? Like tea? I mean, I could make you some - or we could go to Seventh Heaven, or something. Whatever you'd like! [He grins, like it's totally normal for him to want to flicker around everywhere.]

[It feels so natural to invite him, to chatter with him about nothing or everything.]

It's a wonderful idea, though. We should plan on that.
