Usagi doesn't particularly need lessons - while she's pretty clumsy at most things, at least she knows how to swim without drowning herself - but she is here all the same since Ami organized all of this. She stands there with a grin, already in a swimsuit (even though she's only been here for a while, she's managed to get that much) and looking ready to dive into the water and have fun.

After all, what is more fun than doing fun things like swimming with friends?

"Alriiight!" she lets out that shout, almost echoing across the water. "I can't waiiit!"

Ami's smile brightens the second she sees Usagi. She waves her over.

"I'm glad you came. You're even on time!" No, that wasn't teasing Usagi about how often she's late; what are you saying? "We'll make you into a professional athlete, now!"

uggh, lj. /swandives into bed

Oh Ami, stop teasing the poor girl, she can't help all her bad points.. (Okay, maybe she can a little, but shh.)

She does pout a little at the remark, although part of it is just exagerrating being offended. "Ami-chan, of course I'd be on time..! Geez, do you really think I'd be late to your swimming lessons?"

She will never stop teasing Usagi. None of them will. And Usagi will definitely get better about her bad points. Ami knows.

"Now that you're here," she warns, "You'll have to work hard."

aaand lj is still a butt...

"Don't worry!" She grins, even going as far as pumping her fist in the air to show off her determination over this.

For a moment she turns towards the water before looking back at Ami. "I can't slack off in Ami-sensei's classes, right? I've come prepared!"

"That's right!" Ami warns Usagi with mock sternness. "I won't let you let your attention wander! So come into the water."

leah, guess what, lj stopped being mean.. (yay)

At least this time she seems to get it's just mock sternness, so her bright smile doesn't fade in the slightest. Quite the opposite.

"Alright, coming, coming!" She takes a few steps back, just to make a small dash before she jumps towards the water. Just slowly going in is not Usagi-like at all, after all.

"Ah! You're splashing too much! You'll make waves through the whole ocean!" The moon had an enormous impact on the tides, after all. Ami grins and splashes lazily at Usagi as soon as they're close to each other.

[lunarities]

"They'll know Tsukino Usagi has been here for sure!" she just proclaims in return with a similar grin on her face, although she doesn't notice the lazy splash until it's too late and so she gets splashed a little.

An exagerrated pout appears on her face. "Geez, Ami-chan, starting a splash battle already?"

"If I did, I'd win," Ami says with a hint of confidence she rarely displays outside of the water and battle. "After all, this is who I am."

[lunarities]

"Even though that's true.. The S.S. Usagi won't go down that easily, okay!"

She grins, before moving her arms to quickly splash some water on Ami in return. "Take this! Niagaraaaa!"

If Ami's splashing seems to conjure up (quite a bit) more water than it should, surely it it's Usagi's imagination. Ami grins.

"You'll be flooded like a typhoon!"

[lunarities]

Surely it's her imagination and not Ami secretly using her powers against her best friend, right..

"Even against a typhoon, I won't lose, I won't lose!" Usagi just keeps repeating it as she keeps splashing, but she's very obviously slowly being conquered by Ami's splashing.

Ami would never be so devious. Except when she is.

"Keep trying!" she calls out lightly. "This isn't too much for you, is it?"

[lunarities]

There's a time to slack off a little, right? And that times owuld be when she's finally here with a friend. Usagi at the very least seems to be enjoying herself with this whole deal.

"I just said there's no way I would lose to something like this..!" There's a pout.

Careful, Usagi. That wave behind you suddenly? Entirely tall enough to break over you and leave you soaked before it dissipates.

Ami only grinned mischievously. It was kind of fun to get away with this sort of thing after all.
