Today she's out for another stroll, seeing what new sights Luceti has to offer. The mixture of a futuristic city catches her eye and she treads carefully, marveling at the architecture of the buildings and content to admire everything. At least things seem peaceful here.]

Ginia might notice, here and there, long smooth transparent tubes weaving in and out of the buildings - and occasionally a clear capsule rushing along them. This is a busy downtown core, of course, and that means public transportation... Of course, the simulation is mostly devoid of people.
Which is why the one human man standing there in the lab coat might catch her eye.
Right now, he seems to be taking three-dimensional photographs of this world, and the small computer he's holding in his hands blends right into the futuristic world around him.]

She stops to admire the capsule rushing through the tubes, wondering about the efficiency of the transportation. What's the capacity? How does it handle during rush hour when everyone is coming from work? Or going to work? Are there ever any accidents? How is it powered? All these questions drive at her mind and she gazes a little longer at everything before noticing the man there.
She stops to observe him as he goes about his business, seeming to be more than at ease and comfortable with the world. How curious. Perhaps this is his world? Whistling loudly to get his attention, she smiles politely and waves over at him.]

At any rate, the whistle gets his attention, and he whirls in surprise to see Ginia. Though she has a gun - he notices it only after a second, and almost doesn't register it - she seems overall friendly, and he returns the wave with the hand that isn't holding his nanocomputer.]
Ah... e-excuse me. This is... p-part of a commercial core of Linden, one of the megatropolises of T-Terra... my home.

Her hand comes off her gun as she pulls a notepad and pen out of her satchel, quickly writing out a message and coming closer so he can read it.]
It's a beautiful city, I'm quite impressed by the architecture and the technology. May I ask what year it is where you're from?
And I do apologize in advance for all the writing; I'm mute. Please feel free to speak, it's fine with me. Though if you know sign language, that'd be good to know too.
[Because after writing for weeks when she could have been signing with Giles, she's since decided there's merit in asking instead of assuming everyone doesn't know sign language.]
Reply
The moment his eyes get to "sign language", he tries a few timid signs. They are very foreign - precise, though they appear out of practise; he hasn't used Terran Common Sign Language in ages, because he hasn't had to - and his communications may be a bit off at first:]
Terran Common Sign Language - haven't used it. For long time.
[He pauses, shakes himself slightly, and then tries again. This time it seems more natural - though still overly-precise, with similar quirks that the rest of his body language has.]
My apologies. Can you understand this better?
Reply
/I can actually, which is remarkable. Do you understand my signs? Though please, feel free to speak still. It's easier for me to sign than write, that's all./
Reply
Yes, I... do u-understand you. Surprisingly. I have never seen s-signs like yours before, though...
[That's one thing he can't do with his signs - stutter.]
Er, my time period is 2332 A.D., Standard Terran Years - sh-shall I presume you are from a planet called Earth...? M-Most people are from a pre-Terran multiversion here, after all...

2332, 321 years after me./ [Ginia muses out loud as she gives another glance around, marveling at all that can be accomplished in three centuries. Then again, a lot could be accomplished if people weren't so dead set on trying to kill each other or take control.] /Yes, that's correct. Earth, North America, the United States of America, year 2011 A.D./

... United States...? [Robert's voice is questioning, like he's searching for something, and then - aha.]
... Oh, a country. Terra has... n-no geopolitical boundaries, so I... must confess the idea is, er, r-rather new to me.
... This... l-latest event in Luceti is o-one of the strangest yet... but it is rather nice to s-see my home again. Even in pieces...

/It must be a nice relief. Can I ask how long you've been here?/
Reply
[He searches Ginia - not the best with people, but he doesn't recognize this voice.] A-Are you, perhaps, a New Feather...?

[And, actually, their bodies as well. These things can't kill you, though they certainly seem like they could.
... At least Terra is nice and friendly-seeming. Well, until dangerous enemies show up, anyway...]

/It could be worse. While I admit I'll be happy to have my bedroom back as it was, this is... very nice.
Mind giving me a tour of this place?/
