[HI, ASCH, I'M BREAKING YOUR WINDOW.

Yeah, a few minutes before or after Asch gets into his room again, Miyabi will have, quite literally, crashed right through it. She looks quite worse for wear, bloody scratches and bruises already littering her arms and legs, and a deep patch of red staining her side. Not even a day after fighting that nine-tailed fox and she's getting attacked again? She loves you, too, Luceti, really.

But this time, the monsters followed her. Persistent little buggers, those imps. She kicks one of the ones that was trying to get inside the broken window back out, clutching at her side, then scans the room for her sword.

MAN, WHERE DID YOU PUT IT.]

[The crash caught his attention, and even though Asch is already exhausted from climbing that goddamned tower all morning, he doesn't hesitate to burst into his bedroom to see what all the fuss is about this time. He takes one look at Miyabi, then the monsters in the window, and then strides forward, grabbing his Maestro sword replica from the wall and slamming it, sheath and all, against the next monster trying to get through.]

What the hell's going on!?

[Miyabi doesn't reply right away. She spies her sword and sheath and snatches it up as two of the four imps grab at Asch's clothes, chattering amongst themselves and trying to pull him out the window where they can hopefully overpower him. Thankfully, imps of all shapes and sizes are easy to dispose of, and one Power Slash alone can take out this entire group.]

Don't move!

[A line of ink later, slicing like a blade, and the demons are gone, cut in two and exploding into a burst of fresh flowers. And finally, finally Miyabi can flop onto her knees and breath easy. Oh, and check on that wound Ninetails gave her before. Stupid fox...]

[Asch stares at the flower explosion for a couple of seconds, then shakes it off abruptly, crouching down to check on Miyabi.]

What happened? [And more importantly, wtf was that?]

It has to be an experiment... Those things are from Nippon. They're demons - imps. [She winces as she prods her side, where Ninetails' blade struck her before. The bandages covering it were already red. Damn, she really must have opened the wound up pretty bad.]

Those were the less dangerous ones, though. That's why it took so little to beat them. This-- [She bites her lip, motioning to her side.] --was from yesterday, when a kyuu--er...a nine tailed fox demon attacked me. Ammy took care of it, though.

They're not the only things, though. I walked through Yoshpet on the way here, too. It's the forest my village is located in... A part of the forest seemed to change to it all of a sudden...and went away when I got out of the forest. [Thank goodness she could navigate Yoshpet, or else she'd be lost in the forest for who knows how long.]

You should've gotten yourself healed before now, you idiot. [So the experiment's extended a fair bit, it seems. Asch glances briefly out the door to his room, then back to Miyabi, lifting a hand to hover over the wound and try to seal it. His skills are subpar at best, but if he can at least stop the bleeding, he'll be satisfied.] Some strange things have been happening here, too.

I couldn't get close enough to the clinic. [That's not a lie. Really. Each time she tried it ended in her either running from some kind of monster, or getting hopelessly lost in some ridiculous scenario.] It's not that bad...it just hurts when I move around.

[And she's been doing a lot of moving. Miyabi watches Asch closely as he heal her, much of the pain ebbing away once the wound is closed up to a fair degree. She''ll still need to monitor it, but Asch's intervention really helped. She smiles at him, and nods her thanks, but is more interested in what he had to say.]

Like what? Are you and Luke both okay?

We're fine. The building turned into a giant staircase. [And what a nice pathway to death it was. His legs are killing him.]

A...staircase? [What, no...seriously? Miyabi stares at Asch, then turns away to snicker behind her hand. Man, that has got to suck.] W-Well, so long as you two are safe, I-I guess.

Wh- you don't have to laugh about it! It was a pain in the ass to climb!

Ehehehe, I-I'm sorry! I'm sorry...but at least you're not hurt. [And just because--] What'd you find at the top, a princess or treasure? Or maybe a dragon.

There's nothing at the top. The tower was never completed. [He stands up, his tone shifting slightly, though to what, it's probably hard to tell. He goes to check out the window, nudging chunks of glass into the corner- he'll have to clean up later, before Star cuts a paw open or something. Stupid monsters.]

[Miyabi blinks after Asch, her giggles dying down instantly. That tone is telltale, and what Asch said make the pieces fit together as well. Miyabi stands up stiffly, rubbing at her side - still sore, ow - and approaches the window. She can fix it, but the cleanup of glass will have to be done manually.]

So the tower was from your world?

[That's what she assumed. Wordlessly, she motions Asch to step away from the window as she flicks her sword's brush tip over the busted window. In a flash, it's good as new.]

[...Whoa, nice brush skills there, Miyabi. Asch steps over and gives the window a few experimental taps- yep, seems pretty solid. Nice.]

...Yeah, I climbed it before. It's just a pointless relic of the past on my world.

[And she didn't even fall over this time, yay! Seems like Miyabi's really getting good with Rejuvenation. She brushes away some glass with her foot, then tilts her head, looking at Asch's face. After a second, she sighs, closing her eyes. Honestly, Asch...]

You liar...that's not true at all, is it? [She opens her eyes, frowning. Asch and Luke both are such bad, bad liars.] I won't make you tell me anything you don't want to, but please don't lie to my face, Asch.

[Dammit. Was he that obvious? Asch falls silent at that for a moment, mulling over his potential responses or whether he should even offer one. Dammit, dammit...]

I didn't lie. It's not as if anything happened to me there. [The replica's another matter, but he won't confess to that under pain of death. He'd never hear the end of the drama.]
