Thankfully Luke was still fully clothed; he liked to get the shower going and at the right temperature before getting ready for it. Even though it was around noon, Luke still had bedhead, and he looked as if he had just woken up.
Perhaps that's why it takes Luke a second or two longer than it should to process that there's someone in the shower. And even longer to realize just who it is that's in the shower, garbed in New Feather clothes and looking just as confused as he did when he first arrived.
That didn't stop Luke's eyes to go as wide as possible, for all the sleep to leave him as his body worked on automatic: he bolted backwards, not taking into account that he had locked the door, and ended up slamming against it and hurting his wings and fumbling his hand against the doorknob to try and unlock it as he stared at the sight in front of him, something like fear and rage and hope and happiness blossoming in his chest.

He'd heard the door lock, but that doesn't mean much to him; his shoulder is hunched in just the right way to break the lock open. Van. Van could be here. No locks could possibly keep him away from this.
Unfortunately he doesn't expect the door to open just as he reaches it, so he enters the bathroom with a snarl of "MOVE, YOU STUPID-" - which is all the time he has for words before he crashes right into his very startled replica, sending them both tumbling to the floor in a pile ( ... )
