[S-- so awkward. This would probably be a tad easier if he shared classes with the girls in school, but he didn't. So he instead turns his attention to the apartment in general.]

Your apartment's nice. Much ... um. Much homier than mine.

[Nagisa just kinda watches what Fuuko's doing in the kitchen for a moment, then looks back over at Leon.]

Eh? Um.. Thank you! But I'm sure yours is very nice too. [A beat.] Do you have any friends living there with you?

[OH HECK NO SHE ISN'T FINE. Fuuko reappears for a moment, her head covered with cream. But it's cool, she grabs a towel and wipes her face and eyes and then goes back off again.

...Only to reappear a moment later to grab a knife and a spatula and return to whatever it is she's doing.

BUT YOU GUYS CARRY ON. REALLY. Really.]

[Leon's kinda turned away from the kitchen and paying more attention to the decor than anything else -- well, until Nagisa asks her question. So he's oblivious to Fuuko's plight.]

My friend from my world, Claude. Practically my big brother. ...And my cat.

Ahh it must be really nice to have a friend like that! He sounds very nice. And I didn't know you had a cat! [Kiiiittty. That's so cute...

--wait. Nagisa totally just saw that, Fuuko. With a slightly panicked voice, she'll call out-]

Fuu-chan! A-are you okay in there..?

Fuuko is okay!! Just trying to get the cake out of the oven!

[Trying being the prime word here.]

Nagisa-san, the cake is too big to take out of the oven, what did Fuuko do wrong?!

[...Yeaaah, she's trying to cut parts of it away so it'll come out but... Nope. It's not budging.]

[There is a significant silence on Leon's part as he absorbs what Fuuko is saying from the kitchen. His answer is almost to the room in general.]

Too much yeast...?

[Too.. big..? Just peeeering around the corner and--oh god that cake is huge.]

...E-eeeeh?! U-umm...! [Turning back to Leon now.] Excuse me for a moment! [And with a quick bow, she flees into the kitchen!]

A-aaah... I-it's so big! [And why is there cream everywhere.]

[She tried attacking the cake with the knife and spatula to see if she could cut it free. It didn't work. Probably shouldn't have used so much cream in the first place.]

What are we going to do?! We can't just leave the starfish hanging out of the oven like this Nagisa-san!

[It's probably perfectly fine to eat, it's just a little big. Yup.

[When Nagisa disappears into the kitchen, Leon stands there for only a few moments, at a loss, before following after her. He blinks hard at the sight of Fuuko battling the cake.

A little big was being kind. How were three people supposed to eat that?]

[O-oh god all of the panicking right now this is terrible.]

W-waah... W-what should we do?!

[PANICKING ALL OVER umumummm... She starts looking around the kitchen frantically in search for something that could help get the cake out. After a minute, she pretty much gives up and takes a spatula.]

W-we could try digging it out... [The thought of just eating it out of the oven comes to mind but... that's probably incredibly gross and unsanitary.

...And then she notices the fact that Leon followed her in. t-this is so embarrassing dhsakhfks.]

[Dig it out?! Okay! Fuuko takes her spatula and tries wedging it in between the cake and the oven and tries to level the cake out... Before hacking away at it with her knife.]

Ah, it moved! This is probably going to work Nagisa-sa-- [Half the cake slooowly falls from the oven. It's like watching a Jenga tower slowly topple over.

First the cake slips free a little...

...Starts to slide from the oven...

...And flops onto the floor, splattering cream and cake all over.

Fuuko just watches, devastated. The starfish is dead. On a more positive note, what's left of the cake in the oven is small enough to take out and most likely very tasty!]

[The cake that splattered all over the floor was big enough to hit cupboards, countertops, and ... well, people.

Let's not forget it was just in the oven, too. So it's very much a hot mess.]

It's everywhere. [He picks a sticky piece of cake off of his jacket. And then another.]

Mhhhm! It seems like it...!

[...Oh. Guess not. Nagisa just watches as the Jenga Starfish Tower topples onto the ground and splatters everywhere. On Leon, on Nagisa, on Fuuko... Everywhere. She'll give the fallen cake a devastated stare but... not exactly one over the dead starfish. Just over the fact that the cake is ruined. Sob.]

..I-I'm sorry... [HANGING HER HEAD IN SHAME. FOREVER. Nagisa glances around a bit at the mess.] A-ahh... I guess we should clean this up... Umm...

[And then back at the oven. Well, at least some cake is in there in the tray and safe to eat! Probably, anyway.] There's still a little cake left...

[Looking around for a plate or something, anything to put the remainders of the poor starfish on. Fuuko ends up reaching for a spare baking tray.

Being careful not to tread on any cake and tread it further around the kitchen, Fuuko strides towards the oven and rescues the remainder of the cake. She has oven mitts on now, it's cool.] At least some of the starfish survived... Fuuko did not intend for the starfish to turn into a disaster such as this.

[Uhm. How do they start cleaning this up? Fuuko will take the larger pieces of cake off the floor and... throw them away? Such a waste. But they have been on the floor.] Should I put this in the trash Nagisa-san? [Doing her best to avoid looking at Leon. This is the best first impression she could make. Sob.]
