Very nice write up.
I like how clean and almost...blunt the writing is. Appropiate to the context.

And I do think this sorta spilled over eventually to what occured in Chicago then following up.

What memories! It took a lot of self control for Amalie not to shoot the young lady when she came in after hearing about her breaking Jack's back...and then, the same when she did it to Daddy. Oh lord! *chuckle*
