I just found out that not only did my 30 year old cousin have a stroke earlier today, he was denied treatment at the hospital because he has no insurance. He was told to take baby aspirin. I know he's at least alive, but I'm not sure yet what condition he's in. He did a lot of drugs, mainly pills, in his teens and twenties, though he's been clean ( Read more... )

I have been living an inauthentic life. It's a subtle thing like a faint star that one can see only with one's peripheral vision. My tendency is to say "I must" or "I should," but that mode of thinking still misses the mark. I either do or I don't. There is no inherent value in either choice.
