I have just spent half an hour elaborating a section of essay plan devoted to why the narrative of Ulysses resembles fractal geometry. This has made me happier than any other piece of work I have done so far here, and somehow I'm finding it difficult right now to get excited about the lecture I have to go to at 2pm on 'Metre, Stanza and Poetic Form ( Read more... )

Oooh, the second one is gorgeous. I think most lectures are dull for everybody, it's what you do with your essays/outside of study that make or break University for you. At least I hope so, seeing as I think I've run out of Lawson lectures to attend, and the new guy is apparently "like Cliff only /even/ cooler". I dislike Clifford.

Woah. Cooler than Cliff? Surely not.

I'm quite gutted that I won't get to gatecrash a Cliff lecture. Although at least this way, he can remain in my head as half-man, half-big red dog, and I will never be proved wrong.

Fractals give me hiccups. I like the second one, it looks less like blades more like leaves I think.
