It depends on the situation. Though, probably not. I don't trust hitchikers, no matter what flavor. People are crazy these days. I think the fact that you feel guilty for not picking them up is proof enough that your a good person. I'm sure they're fine whoever they were.

I don't mean to sound like a bitch, but it's true. I just don't trust complete strangers.

Ghost Love Score... great song.

i know that kinda of situation all to well. well, i don't drive, but i've had many times when i could help someone or atleast majke sure they're alright. and i have to be honest, i've stopeed only about half the time. sometimes it just looks like a bad idea to stop, and for whatever reason i get the idea to just not look back. other times i don't even think about the fact that i just passed someone who (now that i think back on it) might have needed help.

in your case you feel bad because you didn't check to see if they were ok or not. it's not the fact that you didn't help them, you don't even know if they needed help. for all you know they could have just been drunk and actting stupid. but your mad at yourself for not seeing if they wanted your help. that does not make you a bad person. it might make you silly, silly that you worry about something that is done and in the past, but your not a bad dude.
and as the other person said the fact that you worry means that you care.

I don't think I would have picked them up, either.... because I'd be paranoid that they'd steal something.

Hey, what do you owe to a couple of random girls on the side of the road, seriously? If you needed something, is it anyone else's fault?
Sure, it would demonstrate generosity on your part if you helped them, and then they would be indebted to you. But since you did nothing, this situation reveals nothing about you.
Just remember this the next time someone doesn't stop to help you, and you start getting angry at them. You've been that guy, too.

But since the one was wearing a skirt, I would have probably turned around.
