I knew the numbers of homeless were rising over the past few years...at least I had heard about it in North Dakota and Minnesota.  I wasn't sure about the rest of the U.S., or other countries.  Now, though, I have heard what's happening in the rest of the U.S.; it is despondent.  We are in need of something better than this system we live with.  ( Read more... )

Went for the followup visit today.  Good news!  The knee is doing better, and the doctor likes me cause I'm one of his few intelligent patients.  Apparently, most people who need an orthopedic specialist are not that intelligent about their health, or about medicine in general.  And lots of people need orthopedic specialists.  So he has lots of ( Read more... )
