I've made efforts to be in touch with people even when I'm busy, whether it's a call, an email, a letter or postcard, or a visit. (Recently have used IM and texting too. Yes, I'm over 30.) It's been so nice to count you as one of the people who HAVE made the effort!! I could change the gender in that poem and make it apply to guys, too, since I used to have guy-friends. They've had their share of busy lives, just as much as gals. (Love the word "gals.")
