well, what made her cry? were you, like, bitching her out, or was she sad about what you're going through?
my therapist tells me often how protective of me she feels, how when i talk about hard stuff she feels really overwhelmed and like she wants to have an emotional reaction. that's not really a bad thing. it means they care for you and are empathizing--putting themselves in your shoes.
ahhh, i just realized that you might not know that this is heather, my old journal was heatherbooty. sorry if you didn't know who these personal comments were from!
haha yeah i figured out it was you!. yeah i know it's not necessarily a bad thing. i wasn't bitching her out, i would feel too bad to ever do that, and i like her so i wouldn't. i think she was sad about what I was saying. It's happened before with other therapists...nutritionists...etc lol. its sorta pathetic on my part. you staying in chicago for the summer?
i'm glad you like this therapist. i don't think it's pathetic--therapists just get really emotionally invested in their clients which isn't always the healthiest thing, but it just means they really care for you.
yes, i'll be in chicago for the summer. what about you?
emmie, i know you can do this if you have faith in yourself.... don't feel bad about aming her cry it is her job to listen to you and understand you and that can easily become an emotional attachment.....love you and i am here for you always always
