Well a little bit of my faith just died.

Today the Supreme Court with a 5-4 ruling took the first step in removing the 4th amendment.
You know the one that protects against unreasonable search and seizure, yeah it's hurting right now.

I'd call both endangered but not extinct. It is discouraging when the SC splits along ideological lines like this and makes a 'bad' decision, but given how hard and how many people are fighting through the courts for these rights, I wouldn't call them dead.

We pretty well lost our 4th amendment rights when Nixon started his war on drugs.

Ironic you mentioned drugs, since it was drug and firearms charges levied against a man arrested without a warrant that the supreme court ruled on.

Canada, anyone?

Being a part of the "secure" world (if you don't know what I mean, you don't know me enough) I signed most of my rights away years back. I hoped that the rest of the country would still have 4th and 5th amendment coverage, though.

So... time to revert back to a feudal state? Or just change country of citizenship?

Canada is cold. I suggest taking over a small set of Caribbean islands and declaring them Fredonia.
