So, earlier my van died. I have found a mechanic in Albuquerque that I am willing to deal with. However, I cannot afford to pay a towing service to move my van the ~5 miles from where it broke down to the mechanic. I don't suppose anyone has a vehicle capable of towing a minivan (and the needed ropes/chains/tiedowns/voodoo)? If there is anyone ( Read more... )

Hey, I'm a dork and didn't manage to email you (work's crazy this week! I can hardly finish this comment!). Is the mechanic open on Saturday? I could meet up with you and do the AAA thing tomorrow if they are. I may be able to get away later this afternoon, but Friday is kind of shorthanded (not that yesterday was much better!).

Snap! I didn't realize you where even in town. I thought you had left for war. Turns out that the shop isn't open on Saturday, and since I absolutely need to have my van working by Tuesday morning I decided to just fork up the dough to have it towed. Thanks for the offer however.
