Our birth story
December 11, 2008 - After 12 hours worth of gas pain type contractions every 10 - 20 minutes that stopped at dinner time, I read through my hypnobirthing book about “overdue” pregnancies. Ugh
Contractions were 10 minutes apart for an hour. And then.... an hour went by without one. And then another hour. And another. And now it's been a good 5 hours with not a stir.
I am so unbelievably bummed. -
Update on my possible labor
Well, we have been timing my contractions (if that's what they definitely are) since 7 am and they are coming about every 20 minutes and lasting about 90 seconds each ( Read more... ) -

The longest week of all....
Well, today I am 41 weeks pregnant. Everyday post-due-date has felt like an eternity. I am trying to keep my chin up, but my dreams are all about labor, I wake up a few times a night (to pee, of course) and can't help but think "Seriously?! I am STILL pregnant ( Read more... ) -
40 weeks + 6 days
Had my prenatal this morning.
I did a non-stress test, which basically measures contractions, fetal movement and fetal heartrate. It came out perfectly.
They did a quick ultrasound to check fluids. They want you at least above a 5. We're at a 10.
So baby is happy and thriving in there!
I am still 1 cm and now 90% effaced. Had my membranes stripped ( Read more... ) -

Sorry about the 'tude yesterday. I was in quite a mood.
