I don't think I'm going to class tomorrow. There's no merit in going when I live 11 miles away from the coliseum parking lot and the entire city is in a shield of ice. And considering that Columbians can't drive on a sunny day, I don't want to risk it. We have a 2 hour delay, but they're not expecting the temperature to go above freezing until ( Read more... )

You are smart for staying home. I know when it snows here, everybody goes into dumbshit mode. "well I got me my fourwheel drive, I knows I can handle anything" Those of us that stay off of the road are trying to avoid those attitudes.

I still am going to get back to you man, just have had too many things going on. Tuesday we have to go to court with this dumbass we have to evict from the apts.

Take good care bro.

Oh, take your time! You're fine....remember, it took me a month to get back to you, lol!

They did cancel classes, so I'm not going anywhere. The exact scenario from the BIG storm from 4 years ago is taking place right now...except the storm is over Columbia and it's ice and not snow. I just hope no one wrecks and takes our power!!! :)

Don't you or Dana dare go to class. Every other place in the city is closed. They have yet again changed the forecast. I usually watch the 6 am news and they always do a traffic report. Well, usually they have no accidents to report. Today they had ten, plus ones coming in while they were reading them on the air. I hope Amy is alright and all. Thanks for telling me about her situation. I'm going to give her a call today.

I can't believe that all of the school districts have closed, but USC will stay open. USC is so great.

Well they closed USC....now everyone can rest, lol.

I got REALLY worried because after Mrs. Robbins called and told me they were in Lumberton, I saw on Yahoo news that two women got killed in a head-on wreck in Lumberton last night. And then I was thinking that Georgia is from Charlotte and she might have gone back home and Amy and Melanie might have gone on to Virginia...but it wasn't them, thank goodness.

You're more of a weather man than I am....when will u debut on The WEather Channel? :)

Damn, that's f'ed up! They did close USC down b/c now it's icing way harder than it was yesterday...I don't think they were even calling for it today, that makes it funnier.

But it snows a lot up there....I figured everything would be open??

LOL...you would've really died if you saw what I saw today....instead of people driving slow like they do on a normal night, they were actually doing 60 on 26, particularly this morning when it was STILL below freezing and there was zero visibility...I hope I wasn't the only person who noticed that....it was the first time I haven't really sped while here though, lol :)
