On Saturday, my brother and I ran a 5K -- my first race since the marathon, his first ever -- and I came in at a somewhat disappointing 31:49 (10:15 pace, 382nd out of 983). I haven't run well since the marathon, though, mostly because it wore me out and opened my body to a whole host of illnesses in the following month and a half, so I wasn't ( Read more... ) -

I'm covered in lights
Because the air is out and I wear dressy clothes to school, I generally look like a hot mess when I leave the classroom. Today was no exception; the makeup I didn't cry off in second period I'd sweated off by fourth, and the lining of my skirt was plastered to my legs by sixth.
