All she's gotta do is come along to her own car with a baseball bat and blame it on you...then you're fucked and shes got her easy way out of your car situation and herself a ticket to get something out of you for her car.
Give those keys back asap!
Hope you filed a police report on the original accident and have kept copies of all the paperwork so far.
Be careful cuz this sounds really sketchy....I'd play completely by the book here or you are going to get screwed!

well, that's the thing, i tried to give them back. and she says she's out of town staying with her sister.... so i can't give them back. :( and we didn't file a police report to begin with. but i have a witness who was in the car with me. and now i have the body shop people as witnesses that she is taking responsibility for paying for the damages. all i'm worried about now is getting rid of this car. (and getting to work)

Leave her car at the body shop or something. Anywhere there are witnesses or whatever. You don't want to be responsible for any damages to her car...

yeah i agree with Katie, this girl and her family sound shady. If you leave her car at the bodyshop or wherever, let her know just in case someone steals it or damages it

no wonder you never called back and didn't make it over.. damn this is crazy. one, no one in their right mind just gives out a car for wrecking your car... these people hicks or what? I sure wish you'd file a report... hide the car at someone's house. when she gets back, go get the car, take it to her, get your car. too easy, so good luck finding a real solution.
