Something I noticed about myself today: I get slightly offended if I am passed on the highway. This is heightened if a car has been following me, apparently content with my speed, for some time and then randomly accelerates. I wonder what I've done to lose my follower. So, I was found at fault. My insurance agency tells me that had I not swerved to try to avoid hitting the lady, she would have been found the guilty party. Which is fucking insane! So I completely forgot to go to work today. I realised that I was to be at the library from 9-4 around 10pm tonight. Fuck.

The family also came back today. It's nice to have people around to eat your leftovers.

I've developed a theory: all the people going into the genealogy section of the library are looking for ancestors to blame for their growing up to be the types of people that hang around the genealogy section of the library.

The lady I crashed into seems to believe I'm at fault. I got a call from the insurance company today. I'm hoping my verbal ineptitude over the phone does not end up costing me (taking pauses to recollect oneself can sometimes be interpreted as taking pauses to come up with a new, better story).
