ouch!

Last night I started feeling exhausted when I was at coffee, so I headed home earlier then usual.  I just assumed it was because of my extra workouts at the Y.  I came home and crashed out.  A few hours into my sleep, I woke up with my mouth in terrible pain and was up the rest of the night.  I think there is some sort of infection under a crown in ( Read more... )

Do you have any teething meds in the house? Sometimes that can take the edge off.

I second this... Ambesol worked wonders while motrin and percocet did NOTHING.

It didn't take the edge off in the middle of the night, but it did help after I had the root canal yesterday.

Oops, one more thought. You can take Tylenol and Motrin concurrently. If I were you, I'd take 1000 mg of Tylenol AND 600 mg or Motrin ever 6 hours. And ice.

You might already know this, but a root canal on a previously crowned tooth is a wonderfully painless procedure (just the anesthetic shot). And you'll feel better, too :) Hopefully you'll get it taken care of post-haste!!

I did not know that. And it ended up being the tooth next to the crown. The pressure just made it feel like it was the crowned tooth.

glad you are feeling better! tooth pain is the worst!
