Still really sleepy and dazed from the trip. I promised an update for my birthday but I didn't get back early enough, so it's gotta wait a few more days while I re-orient. Bleah ( Read more... )

Happy belated birthday (sorry for the belated bit, my internet has been uber wonky)

Glad you had fun with the trip at least, adventure is good for the soul once in a while. I miss long crazy roadtrips.

Sorry to hear AX was a wash, hope stuff improves for you.

YAY ADVENTURE! I wish I had the guts to get in my car and just DRIVE. And Moab -rocks-. Great choice ^_~

Also, ain't just you. The convention circuit is starting to get a bit dry. I do dealer room stuff and it has been on a steady decline for a good year. Everyone's pants pockets are turning spare change into pocket lint. =op It sucks. =o/

I think I love you at least a little bit, and as someone on the verge of this whole weird 'adult life' thing, I find you such an inspiration and a reassurance.

When I woke up, I was thirty years old and had discovered that nothing in life matters as much as adventure.

I wanted it to last forever. Even right now, tired as I am, I would do it all over again in a heartbeat.

I used to be so scared that when I grew up I'd lose this feeling and become another gray automaton who only cares about money and stability. Well, I can stop worrying about that now. Whenever I close my eyes, I see that creekside oasis. I know there are other places like it and I feel like I have to find them. The money thing is bad, and I'm going to need to seriously re-evaluate my choice of career, but I know what I want in life and money is only incidental to getting it.

Something fundamental has changed in me, and not a moment too soon.Much as I feel silly about HURR BLOCKQUOTING - this made me really happy. Like, sappy sniffly joy happy ( ... )

You don't know me, but I've been reading Kagerou and your blog for years. I just wanted to say how much I love the fact that the town I grew up in was your "little slice of paradise" (the town in Gypsum). Happy birthday (so very late).
