I just bought 8GB of memory for the BeastCow. That oughtta speed her up a little bit >:D And I found a coupon on retailmenot for like ten bucks off my order. Which was nice, as memory for this system isn't as cheap as I'm used to, and I've still got some more stuff to buy afterward. Every little bit and all that

Here ( http://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,2845,2346974,00.asp ) is a warning about filling all the memory slots in a system; You're better off buying fewer, bigger DIMMs if you care about speed

The Beast uses DDR2 ECC in Dual channel mode off of an intel server chipset. Server chipsets are much better about how they access the RAM in most cases than desktop ones.
