COMPUTER AGAIN

Hey y'all! I got a virus that owned the FUCK out of Windows*, so I'm running linux right now on a fresh hard drive. I do not think any data was lost, though. Upside: I quite like Mint and think I will continue to use it instead of Windows once I get to make a choice ( Read more... )

Yay Linux! I know that Paint tool sai runs well with Wine (except no pressure sensitivity). Alternatively, Mypaint and Krita are my two Linux native programs for drawing. Er, having a dead OS is a very valid reason not to update! I just wanted to suggest a few alternatives.

Best of luck. I personally run a mix of Fedora, Gentoo and Windows, with a side of Puppy Linux for good measure. Been trying to go full linux for quite a while, but I like my games to much.

I only ever run Windows in virtual machines and never give it net access. Sure it whinges about not getting updates, but it can't get viruses either.

According to some sources, MyPaint seems to be mentioned a lot as a popular linux alternative to Corel Painter. Unfortunately I've never really used either one, so you might have to play around with it and see for yourself.

mypaint has superior brushes to painter, imo. very nice selection and super easy to use.

buuuuut I can't use it for kagerou, argh.
