you fight with yourself alot. Anyway IDK what happened but perhaps telling her sooner then later would be best. That way she doesnt think all this (since you guys started talking again) was merely a obligation and some sort of way of pursuing your own .... fuck I cant think of the word! Its driving me nutz. Redemption maybe? Screw it I'm sure you know what I am trying to say. I just scoured my poetry book (poems from 2003-2004) looking for the word but it wasnt in there. lol. I must have either ripped that poem out and given it to someone or jotted it down somewhere absent mindedly. Oh well.
No matter how hard it is, even with the chance it may hurt her, you need to ask her for forgiveness. You say she doesn't know you hurt her, if this is really the case then there will be no problem forgiving you. Also, if she was hurt in the past, she's pretty much already forgiven you if she is willing to meet up with you again. That doesn't mean you don't have to bring it up... it just means that forgiveness should come easily from what you have described here.
Doing the right thing, even when you know it's going to hurt someone else sucks. royally. But there's an honor found in doing the right thing even when it's hard that is unequivocal.
