Maybe the first time in its history Americans haven't been accused of committing crimes.

That being sad, I have always thought there is a clear hierarchy for foreigers in Japan, with anyone from a western country getting preference.

you're right. I think that the hatred for other asian cultures is deeply seeded and goes back a long way. Those Nationalist buses that drive around tend to be more pointed towards chinese and korean immigrants.
