You describe the location like my last apartment was; off of a busy, one-way street, not far from a great music shop, bars and restaurants, a few small grocery stores, all within a few blocks. Walking around quaffing a beer or a bottle of vodka.
Parties. I'm the same, liking the idea of socializing more than doing it. And still trying to figure out what I'm doing with the rest of my life.

those sound like lovely books. and yay go apply! if you have a petshotel in the store, apply there. that's the part where you get to play with the animals all day. it's tiring, but super fun.

i have no idea what books to recommend! i brought "eat, pray, love" with me as my only non-textbook book but have yet to start...i finished the third book in diana gabaldon's outlander series which i'd highly recommend but it's no buried treasure.
