You describe the location like my last apartment was; off of a busy, one-way street, not far from a great music shop, bars and restaurants, a few small grocery stores, all within a few blocks. Walking around quaffing a beer or a bottle of vodka.

Parties. I'm the same, liking the idea of socializing more than doing it. And still trying to figure out what I'm doing with the rest of my life.

haha yeah. last night i went to a party and it wasn't too bad. i didn't really know anyone, but that's almost less pressure. good luck to you in figuring out what you're doing with your life. we both need it!

oh I'd love to see photos of this lovely new place! so much happened indeed, I'm glad to read an update. :) also, I agree, you can't go wrong with puppies. ;)

i have no idea what books to recommend! i brought "eat, pray, love" with me as my only non-textbook book but have yet to start...i finished the third book in diana gabaldon's outlander series which i'd highly recommend but it's no buried treasure.
