Don't worry about fluffy! It's awfully cute how I, as a reader, can see just how much impact Hyukjae has on the lives of these three cuties. Donghae obviously needs a partner in raising the kids. In my experience most troubled youngsters are thos who co e from broken families. If they're not treated like tennis balls the the parents keep tossing around, they get stuck in homes with no guidance since a single working parent can't be there 24/7. Even kids from intact families but whose parents both work suffer from this. :) I just really hope Hyukjae and Donghae get through the denial stage. :)) and...GET IT ON!!! LOL. Jino is still cute even when he's acting out and Kyu just makes me sad with what he said.

thank you for the insight! and i know exactly what you mean, unfortunately that is the case for a lot of children and it's awful how they are forced to develop and try to survive in environments like that. :c
but hopefully those two get it together soon and their feelings stop getting shoved on the afterburner!

I was all 8DDDD at hyukjae donghae and the kids acting like a family at the supermarket, with hyuk scolding donghae and jino for being unhealthy.

felt so sorry for donghae though, he's so stressed and aww he took it out on kyuhyun and hyukjae.

I was thinking how cute kyuhyun was; its normal for little boys to pull little girls' hair, donghae didn't really have to overreact like he did, but i guess he's just insecure and stuff. :x

i had fun writing the shopping scene. i feel like hae would've joined forces with Jino and puppy pout hyukjae into buying them anything they wanted XD
and donghae knows that kyuhyun usually isn't type to act out like that, and he's just stressed trying to find a way to handle it, and whether this is just a phase, or will lead to something bigger, etc. you know, all that parent stuff. but since he's new, he's really unsure about how to handle it.
but don't worry, i'm a sucker for fluff too, so i won't be going to long w/o it :D

Of course Kyu is getting in trouble to get Hyuk's attention. It shouldn't be a surprise since that's what Kyu and Jino did at the start of the story when they would be mean to the babysitters so they would get Hae's attention. I wonder if this will bring Hyuk back to their house or if he will stand strong and stay with Yesung and Ryeowook. I can see it both ways where Hyuk tries to keep his personal life separate so he stays with Yesung and Ryeowook but I can also see Hyuk breaking down and returning to Hae's house so there's someone taking care of the kids all the time, not just in the mornings and evenings, plus it would give him more time with Hae

nah, you don't have to worry about it escalating to a fight. in this au, hyuk's more non-confrontational, so there's no way he'd try and argue with donghae, and there's the fact that he's his boss, and the rightful guardian of the kids. although i had considered it briefly, but in the end i figured a fight would've complicate the whole scene a lot more than necessary.
and yeah, i agree. kyu and jino are great kids, and their attachment to hyuk is raelly sweet.
