I actually haven't heard that much of U2 on any radio station. Maybe a few times on 96.1 and maybe on 101.9. Yes, most of the stations just play 1 or 2 hits from different bands, usually from their popularity peak. But popularity peak doesn't equal to an artistic peak, and in case of U2, radio stations in here play mostly their 80's stuff when they had a peak of popularity.

Hey, do you have any news what is happening with KWOD? They seem to be changing their image a little again. Does it seem to just be tweaking (and going away from the stupid 2.0 name) or are they going corporate again?

I am still trying to get more answers but Her's what I do know:

* They have dropped the 2.0 (yeah!) part of their name for most things!

* They are not really corporate (yet...)

* They are jumping on the bandwagon of having someone who most people know run their morning show time slot - Adam Carolla (ugh!).

* More changes are coming and are in the works...

Adam Corolla at least is intelligent compared to most of those type of shows. But I miss Ruben and Simms, they really were intelligent... That is a sad state of things. but I'm glad Kwod still is doing the indy and local stuff, and still has DJs. Although I've really stopped listening a lot since Adam Carolla came on. While I like his show more than others, it still isn't the type of thing I want to listen to.

As have I! Adam is stupid and Jack 93.7 is almost indie enough to tolerate for the time being and they have a good deal of variety for what I have heard (about 8 hours) to date.

Ruben and Simms are still on the air, just in the evening now... Only one DJ has gotten screwed out of being on the air, so far. Simms told me tonight that he is still hanging around the office doing things, so he is not out of a job, yet!
