CHAPTER 1 PART 1

The road they were traveling on was quite rough, making the trip rather bouncy, but the quintet didn't seem to notice as they were absorbed in their recollection of past events, abandoning themselves in laughter as Dr. Niikura would enthusiastically share some tells from when the Hayashi boys were mere children, which were occasionally interrupted as Yasuno tried to jokingly defend himself to the bewildered and amused face of his fiance, who kept attentively listening to the tells from her future husband's past. Yutaka was simply listening, not feeling the need to interject, or simply not knowing how to with the specific topic.

-Dear, you sure were a stubborn kid! I hope, in the eventuality that we have boys, that they won't give me half of the trouble you caused - she mockingly stated as she placed her fan in front of her face, trying to hide her laughter, she then looked at the younger brunette and stated

-I am sure Mr. Uke was the sweetest child a mother could ever ask for -

-Unfortunately, I have never met my parents. I was raised in a orphanage ... - replied Yutaka, avoiding the lady's gaze, which he was sure to be filled of pity and sorrow, and he didn't want to deal with those familiar emotions, which everyone, who founded about his past seemed to have to wear. Obviously, it was human nature to feel compassion for those, who weren't as lucky as they were. He had found out that his parents didn't want him, but his life at the orphanage had been rather pleasant, and he had always been eternally grateful to those nuns, who had become his mothers and sisters, so he didn't believe he had anything to be pitied about.

-I am terribly sorry, I did not know - replied lady lady Ayaka, hiding her face even more behind her fan

-But the orphanage had been very good to you, they were like a family, right? - added Dr. Niikura

-Yes, they are my family, and a wonderful one at that - quickly replied Yutaka, and followed with a smile hoping he hadn't sounded as rude as he thought.

-Well, shall we change subject? - proposed Yasuno, as he smiled at Yutaka - let's talk about the war that we are fighting against Spain - concluded the blond looking at Dr. Niikura

-Such a boring subject ... - puffed Takeru, as he absentmindedly looked outside the open window

-I fully agree. How do you expect me to participate to such topic? - inquired the lady looking at her fiance, who was now confusedly observing his brother trying to understand what exactly he was about to do. Not receiving any response from Yasuno, Lady Ayaka turned her dilemma to Dr. Niikura, who happily changed conversation in her favor.

Meanwhile, Yutaka, had noticed the wondrous expression on the elder blonde, and direct his gaze to the younger blonde, who was in front of him, trying to stand up as he held both hand on the edge of the window, and slowly brought his head out of it.

-Takeru! That's dangerous! - quickly admonished Yutaka, who had gotten up, crouching a bit not to hit his head on the top of the carriage, and holding himself on the side of it.

-He is right, get yourself back in! The road is too uneven, you might- tried to warn Yasuno, but in that exact moment the tires had passed through a bump in the ground, making the carriage bounce, as Takeru was pulled back in by the roughness of the movement. However, he wouldn't have fallen, if he had kept his grip on the edge of the window, which Yutaka had been pretty sure he had seen the younger abandon, almost intentionally, as he the apprentice fell back to his seat, with the younger in his arms.

-Are you okay? -quickly asked Dr. Niikura as he reached for the blonde, who was still in the brunette's embrace. While Takeru was being helped up to his seat by the doctor, for a quick moment the apprentice thought he had spotted a pleased grin on the face of the younger directed towards him, and it wasn't the type of pleasantness of a person, who was glad they had been help, but it almost felt like a sensual smile. Once again, Yutaka swiftly shove the thought out of his mind, convincing himself that the lack of sleep and his previous paranoid state, had forced him to hear and see all sorts of anomalies during the entire day, for there was absolutely no way that the younger blonde could have being looking at him in the second way he had conjecture; especially not him, a man.

-I am fine, thanks to the promptness of Mr. Uke - quickly replied Takeru, bowing his head to the apprentice

-Not to mention, and I did not do anything - replied Yutaka, not looking at the blonde in front of him, as he felt ashamed for even thinking what he just had.

-I some time don't seem to use this - added Takeru, pointing at his head

-Or maybe you just use it too much … - whispered Yasuno, as he smirked, looking outside his side of the window

-Maybe, you could take a look at my brain as well? - jokingly proposed Takeru, causing a laughter, in the carriage guests.

-You are a natural entertainer, Takeru! - exclaimed Yutaka, as his laughter died

-I am told that, quite often, and I'll make sure, during your permanence, to entertain you, to the best of my abilities. - replied Takeru looking at the brunette, with the same expression he had as he lift up the apprentice body, at which Yutaka began to feel slightly uncomfortable.

-Oh he most certainly is. All the Hayashi members excel in something. However, I most say, that my darling here, is by far the most accomplished - stated lady Ayaka with a haughty tone, at which Yutaka could simply smile, as he glanced at Takeru pouting outside his window.

-Ayaka … - gently warned Yasuno

-But it is the truth! You see Mr. Uke, he is an unscrupulous businessman, and there isn't any business deal he hadn't been successful with. You must know that the restaurant we ate at, isn't his only possession, in fact he has two other restaurants, four hostels, and three bars, and that is merely in London! and I can't start listing all his other properties, in other towns, through England, for I am afraid I may not be able to do it quite justice. - concluded lady Ayaka, lightly flapping her fan.

Yutaka simply smiled, and he was trying really hard not to laugh as he kept glancing at Takeru, who was mimicking her word by word, indicating the fact that the lady was often prone to boast about her soon to be husband.

-Please do not take her words at heart - quickly added Yasuno - Takeru, is just seventeen, so he still has to finish school. I am also pretty sure you have heard about our dearest Takanori. -

-I most certainly have - confidently replied the brunette

-I had no doubt. Moreover, Akira is a very renowned and skilled lawyer, he lives to favor the cases of the regular citizen over wealthier ones, which had brought him some animosity every now and then, but he is, and always has been, unmoved in his believes, making him more known, as the lawyer of justice, which would sound like a senseless denomination , but I am sure you would agree with me, when I say that most of our juridical system is corrupt.

-I agree - replied the brunette - and as I think of it, the Lawyer of Justice is indeed notorious, I have heard of him, but I thought he was named simply Reita - quickly added the apprentice

-Well he chose to hide his identity, in order to protects … perhaps. Reita is the name he was given by our younger brother Kazamasa … - concluded Yasuno

-Poor Kazamasa … I really do hope you can help him Dr. Niikura - said Ayaka with a concerned expression looking at the attentive elder

-Oh, but that is not my field lady Iida. Mr Uke here, is going to take care of him - he replied with a very confident smile, as he grabbed his apprentice's shoulders. Yutaka tried to smile as well, but the perplexed expression on lady Iida's face wasn't too comforting.

However, lady Ayaka wasn't the only person, who had seem to have troubled the young brunette, in fact, the young blonde seemed to be outdoing himself, in trying to make the apprentice feel utterly uncomfortable. He wasn't sure how long it had been, since he hadn't noticed, but the young Hayashi had kept his gaze fixed on him. The few times he swiftly met with the blonde's stare, he thought the younger would maybe avert, but he kept his gaze unmoved. It were as if Yutaka was being eaten alive by those seemingly lustful eyes, and he was pretty sure he had seen the younger quickly and lightly biting his lower lip a few times, while still looking at him. The most unsettling thing, was that nobody seemed to have noticed, not even Dr. Niikura, who was sitting right next to him, thus facing the strangely acting blonde as well.

-If Dr. Niikura trusts you as much, there is no reason to doubt of your abilities Mr Uke, I am quite certain - quickly stated Yasuno trying to remedy at his fiance's silent reply, at which the younger brunette gratefully nodded.

-Do you mind ... if I briefly inquire about some details … regarding the conditions of your younger brother ...Kazamasa? - attempted the apprentice, realizing that not only he had no clue what he was going to deal with, but until some seconds ago, he didn't even know the name of his patient.

-Do not fret my dear apprentice. You shall soon be able to make your own conjectures, for we are now in Bexley. - serenely replied Yasuno, at which words, Yutaka quickly turned his head towards the window he shared with Takeru.

It wasn't as spectacular as London, in fact it almost reminded him of Inverness, which he thought, would have made him feel home away from home. Trees were still in abundance, keeping a fair amount of distance between habitations. As the carriage passed through the main square, the only impressive thing he had noticed was the new, and expensive looking cathedral, which appeared to be off, compared to rather old looking structures surrounding it.

-Impressive, is it not? - asked Takeru, as he kept his gaze on the church, and without waiting for the brunette's reply, he resumed talking - At my father's request, they destroyed the old own, and built this, because he wanted to baptize me in a completely new structure. He had thought of me being that important even before I was conceived, in fact he had sent the request some months after Takanori was born - explained Takeru with an apathetic expression -and then I was born two years later - continued the young with a ironical tone - crushing everybody's hop-

-Takeru!- suddenly interrupted Yasuno in a slightly angry tone, soon followed by an exasperate sigh -... you know better than to bring up such topics - calmly concluded the elder blonde still looking irritated, and the younger just smirked as he kept looking outside.

-Home, sweet home ... - he then added in a disappointed tone, leaving the brunette wondering what could cause such sadness, when in front of one's own house, or rather, as he speechlessly stared at the majestic brown brick looking structure, one's own palace.

A rather lengthy path, marked by evergreen trees on each side of it, was separating them from the house it self, and it was so long that by the time they had reached the entrance, a number of people were waiting for them. As they got off the carriage, Yutaka observed that they were house servants, who didn't waste any time in taking care of the belongings of the barely arrived.

Then a blonde lady wearing a long black, white and pink dress, suddenly came rushing out the front door, and as she reached Yasuno, she almost brought the elder down with the strength of her embrace

-Welcome back! - she exclaimed

-Thank you. I can see I was missed ... - grinned the elder as he carefully examined the blonde girl as if he hadn't seen her in a life time. She then smiled back, and rushed to the younger blonde.

-And my little Takeru - she exclaimed once more, and began ruffling the younger one's hair, who immediately smiled, enjoying the attention. Successively, completely ignoring lady Ayaka, who was still awaiting for her own welcome, the blonde girl swiftly fixed her appearance, and made her way to the doctor and the young apprentice.

-Dr. Niikura, it has been such a long time! -

-I know, and it is such a joy to see you are doing as fine as ever! - lively replied Dr. Niikura as he embraced the blonde. When they parted, she then glanced towards Yutaka, and looked back at the doctor inquisitively.

-He is Uke Yutaka. He is here to help with Kazamasa - quickly explained the elder brunette. The girl then walked towards the apprentice, and after performing a male bow, she began talking.

-Thank you for wanting to help my brother - she then stated

-B-brother? - confusedly asked Yutaka, who didn't remember any mentioning of any female Hayashi members

-Yes … - calmly replied the blonde - I am Kazuhiro, the 4th born child. Please to make your acquaintance - stated the blonde, leaving Yutaka with dumbfounded, to the stunning revelation.

-P-pleased … to ..as well!- quickly tried to reply Yutaka, still trying to digest the discovery.

As the brunette tried to think about his next statement, to attempt a comeback from his overly shocked start, he was suddenly stopped in the process as two horribly familiar sounds were getting closer and louder. He swiftly turned to the source of what he now distinctively known to be barking, and saw them; Hell's gatekeepers. And if they were there, it only gave space to one possible conclusion, which was confirmed as the blond with the nose strap followed soon after them.

This had to be a nightmare, a very horryfing one at that. This couldn't be happening, just couldn't.

-No … no … no … - kept whispering the brunette as he frenziedly shook his head. However, the blond man was with no doubt real, for they all turned towards him as he made his appearance, and noticing the horrified brunette he stopped in his steps. The apprentice began to think that, it was then no wonder that he hadn't seen the blonde earlier in the day, because he had been here wanting to give him false hope of security, to then finish him up in the worst of ways. Yutaka was now obsessively trembling in fear, as he slowly backed up, while quickly whispering the same sentence -he will kill me, he will kill me, he will kill me … -

-Yutaka? What's wrong? What happened! - worriedly asked Dr. Niikura, as he tried to snap the other out of his apparent trance

-What is he doing here. - quickly asked the strapped nose blonde, at whom's voice Yutaka quickly hid behind Dr. Niikura's back, tightly holding the elder's coat, and frantically whispering - Oh dear Virgin Mother of God please help me! Oh help me, don't let me die like this! I don't want to die, I don't want to die … -

-What's happening here? - asked in an even more perplexed voice Yasuno, looking at the inquiring blonde - I wasn't of the impression that you were somehow, already acquainted with my brother Akira, Mister Uke … - he then asked the shivering apprentice.

-Oh Mother of God brother help me! Oh help me Akira, I don't want to die brother? … - Yutaka silenced his plea, as he slowly left Dr. Niikura's coat and looked at Yasuno, and … his brother?

-B-brother? … - repeat Yutaka, feeling the unpleasant sensation of dejavu.

-Yes, have you met? - asked Yasuno

-We have, so what is he doing here? - quickly and impatently asked Akira

-He is Kazamasa's doctor - replied Yasuno with a big smile, patting his brother on the shoulder.

-What?! That … that thing is Shou's doctor? - exclaimed Akira in visible indignation, as Yasuno simply nodded

-Okay now Akira, take it easy … breath - added Dr, Niikura trying to calm the irritated blonde

-I thought you were going to take care of Kazamasa, Dr. Niikura - replied Akira looking at the doctor

-Now Akira, you well now that is not my expertise … he is my apprentice Uke Yutaka, a fine brilliant young man, who has made impressive discoveries regarding the human brain, and I firmly believe he can help Kazamasa. - calmly explained Dr. Niikura as he walked to Akira, patting the other blonde's other shoulder.

Akira looked down, and slowly sighed, holding his forehead with his index finger. He then looked up, and walked towards the still petrified apprentice, loyally followed by Tora and Saga, as he stopped in front of Yutaka leaning his head forward, as he had during their first encounter. Yutaka, who wanted to dash away, but couldn't even feel his feet, swiftly closed his eyes, as he continued trembling.

-It's alright if you pretend not to see me, because I see you and that is all that matters. - slowly whispered the blonde - I hope you will understand that this is not one of those looney bins where you can just come and mess with people's minds as you so fit. I am not like all the others, I will not stand for it, so you better know what your doing - concluded Akira, at which Tora and Saga promptly barked. The blonde then calmly walked away, leaving Yutaka falling to his own feet, as Dr. Niikura and Kazuhiro rushed to his aid, walking him towards the house, closely followed by Yasuno, and Takeru.

The brunette had yet regained his rational abilities, as he was dragged towards the entrance of the house, or rather, his soon to become tomb, for in this moment he had absolutely lost even the little confidence he had in his medical abilities, as he envisioned his imminent failure. Yutaka then lightly smirked, when the doors of his grave closed behind his back, as he imagined Miku telling curious guests about the obscure dealings of the House of Sin, and specifically telling the story of a young Scottish apprentice, whose blood had been added to Takeru's daily bath, and whose bones became Tora and Saga's favorite toys.
