MAIN Chapter 5 part 2
A chill quickly run through Miyavi's spin as he watched Gackt literally jump out of his car. He sat quietly, his expression still emotionless, as he stared at the running figure from his rear view mirror. He wasn't worried about what the elder singer intended to do, in fact, his action might have yet again, saved him some extra work. However, that exact moment, that swift action, brought back a painfully hidden memory.
He also was the driver at the time, his face still appearing emotionless as usual, but inside he was a bundle of nerves. He was speeding down the highway, out of Tokyo desperately thinking through the events that had just taking place. He couldn't understand how he had missed such a fact, such a presence. Next to him sat a short man with black and red colored hair. The passenger was tensed, he wasn't, he simply gazed at the street swiftly moving passed them.
Miyavi couldn't help but keep glancing at the distraught figure sitting next to him. The younger man's gaze was still fixed on the road, it seemed as if he were carefully looking for something that he just couldn't find, and his little hands were tightly clenched on his thighs, they where closed so tightly as if they were holding on to something he absolutely couldn't let go. Miyavi nervously bit his lower lip, and turned his attention back to the street in front of him. For the next fifteen minutes, they drove in that manner, none of them daring to utter a single word, until Miyavi carefully slowed down and parked in front of the gates of a huge villa.
-I think we should- he tried to say as the other just opened the door of the car, and jumped right out
-Ru- he tried to yell the name of the fugitive, but his reply was a slamming door. The young man stood for a second in front of the car, slowly looked up at the villa, sighed, and made himself to the wide silver get. He stopped in front of the speakerphone, and after sighing once more he softly pressed the bell.
Miyavi just kept helplessly staring. For the first time in his life not knowing what to say or what to do, not even sure he had done the right thing in bringing the agitated young man at the present location. He simply didn't know, and he feared ignorance, which was the only thing he didn't know how to control. Because if he had known, if only he had known ...
After a few seconds a female voice answered
-K-konnichiwa, Who am I speaking to? - hesitantly spoke the female voice, who could perfectly see the person at the gate, from the screen next to the speakerphone, but nevertheless, courteously asked.
-Konnichiwa Megumi-san, … ano, can I please come in? - hesitantly asked the young man
-M-Matsumoto san … ano … I would let you in but ... - sadly spoke the house attendant
-Onegai, Megumi-san … onegai ...- kindly pleaded the young man, as he held one of the silver bars of the gate
-I am really sorry… terribly sorry Matsumoto-san. Gomennasai. - the woman concluded and without waiting for another reply, she severed the connection.
The voice at the speakerphone wasn't too loud, but Miyavi, who had meanwhile placed himself in the passenger's seat, had been able to grasp the previous exchange of words between the young man and the house attendant. He then looked at the man, wondering why he wasn't coming back. He bit his lower lip once more, slowly let his head out of the window, and began talking.
-Ruki … we should go … we'll think of- but he was interrupted by the still pleading voice of the young man, which was now close to shouting, as he frenziedly pressed the bell.
-Megumi-san? Onegai, Megumi-san!-
-Ruki… please, we won't solve anything like this ...- tried to explain Miyavi, not really sure about any other solution either. But Ruki stayed impassible, both his hand now pressed on two bars, as his gaze pierced through the gate. Miyavi was exasperating, the situation had long been out of his control, but he had to do something. Should he just drag the young man in the car? Should they wait until maybe Hyde would show up?
An hour had passed, and Ruki was still standing, unmoved in front of the gate, and Miyavi, was leaning on the passenger seat of the car his gaze fixed at the singer, seemingly hypnotized, but they were suddenly awaken from their states of trance, when the female voice reappeared at the speakerphone
-Ano … Matsumoto-san … could you please not stand in front of the gate …? - Ruki didn't reply
- … This is not going to be good Ruki, we have to- kindly added Miyavi who was once more interrupted
-I am not moving from here. Not until I see him. I am not taking a single step - dryly stated Ruki, still facing the gate. The house attendant released a resigned sigh, and attempted to speak again
-Ano - but she was yet interrupted
-I am not moving - repeated Ruki and the female voice didn't reply simply closing their connection, once more.
Miyavi was now passing his hand in his hair, his right leg restlessly moving, as he desperately thought of a solution. He then suddenly opened the passenger door, reached the younger man, and held him by the arm, pulling him away.
-Leave me - plainly stated Ruki, remaining passive, and not paying any attention to the taller figure that was still tugging him away. He then forcefully freed himself from the grip and, positioned himself back in front of the gate.
-Ruki, I... we... - tried to retort Miyavi, but nothing came out of his mouth, he was at loss of words, for in part, it was his fault if they were now helplessly standing in front of that gate, and in that moment guilt slowly made it's first appearance strongly knocking at the door of his conscience. What had he done?
As he kept staring at the younger singer, Ruki's eyes suddenly widened, and quickly turn to face his side. Something was behind the taller man that made the younger man race passed him. Miyavi quickly turned around, and saw nothing, but instinctively ran behind Ruki, and as they both turned the corner, they saw another gate closing.
Once more, little hands where desperately clinging to bars. Ruki could see the car coming to an alt just in front of the side entrance of the house. One man dressed in a black suit, and wearing sunglasses, came out from the front seat, quickly directed himself to go and open the back passenger seat door. The person slowly got out, carefully, not looking at the side gate. Ruki could now see him, he could see his beloved trying so hard not to look at him, but he didn't remain in sight for long, as other three bodyguards rushed to surround him, as he slowly made his way to the entrance.
-Hyde! - screamed Ruki from behind the gate, and the group of people suddenly stopped, none of them turning around, just standing there.
-Hideto, look at me! - yelled Ruki once more, but the group remained impassive. Ruki held the bars tighter, and as he felt despair creeping all over him, he impulsively tried to shake the bars. The bars, obviously didn't bulge, thus, he began screaming in a louder voice.
-Hideto!- but yet no reply and no movement from the opposite party, and again he forcefully and pointlessly tried to shake open the hindrance that separated him from his lover.
Miyavi just stood there, looking at the distressed young man, once again not knowing what to do. He unconsciously began to shake, his legs felt weak. Then slowly, with the little strength he could find, he made himself closer, and carefully placed a hand on Ruki's shoulder, which was quickly shrugged away. The younger just deeply inhaled, and as fury made its way on his already overly stressed face, Miyavi took one step backwards feeling momentarily intimidated by such expression. The party then began it's slow walk again, but then stopped as the voice once more began its crying out.
-Stop! - yelled Ruki, he then deeply breathed and resumed his plea - He doesn't deserve you, and you know that!- he paused for a second more, struggling to keep back the upcoming tears, and then resumed
-I said I would protect you, always, no matter what, remember? But you have to be here with me, over this gate, where you belong, and I have to be by your side, because I can't be without you. I need your presence, I need your laughter, I need your nagging … I need you, Hideto! - he paused once more recollecting himself; he absolutely wouldn't allowed himself to just break down and cry, he just wouldn't, but the group had resumed walking, and with every step closer to the door, Ruki's composure was slowly given out, and now he was screaming out of his mind
-God, Hideto! Please, please stop! Oh God! - he didn't know what else to say, he couldn't think straight, his heart furiously racing, and his tears treating to burst out. Miyavi kept staring at the face of the young, and just when it looked like he had exhausted his pleas, he was proven wrong, when the younger singer, slowly brought his head up, and began yelling once more.
-I am not moving! Not one single inch. I'll stay fixed here, in front of this gate, I won't leave, not to eat, not to drink, for nothing or nobody else but you. And if … and if I die in the process
-Ruki don't- tried to say Miyavi, trying to get once more closer to the singer; this was now too much. He didn't want for anybody to get hurt, he never had meant that.
-If I die in the process, I will not mind … I'll gladly die for you, if that's what you want me to!- and that was it. That had been as far as his strength could hold him, as he slowly slid down the gate, still tightly clenching at the bars. -I'd die for you … - he kept on whispering as his long held in tears forcefully pushed out of their own restraint.
Miyavi quickly followed to the ground, as he got closer to the distressed figure in front of him, wanting to hold him and somehow comfort him, but Ruki just slightly moved back, staring at the ground and endlessly whispering -I am not leaving, I am not leaving … -
There was nothing the pink haired singer could do, and finally giving up, he raised from the ground, and directed himself to his car. He left, but came back in the evening, hoping he would find nobody. However, Ruki was there, still desperately clinging to the same two bars. He tried to convince him once more, but again to no avail. Considering all his failed attempts, Miyavi then concluded that all he could do was simply to be of support to the younger one. Thus he came back each and every day, morning and night, secretly and silently observing him from his car, not taking a ny sort of actions until that ill-fated day.
He had slowly gotten into the villa's drive, and just to make sure, he quickly glanced at the gate finding Ruki still standing in his statuesque position. Thus, he looked away trying to go and position himself in his secret hiding spot. The moment he finished parking, he returned his stare to the gate, but a different scenario welcomed him. Ruki wasn't in front of the gate anymore. A sensation he could closely describe as relief and happiness, was slowly settling in the singer's heart, but it was quickly sent away, as he saw a person running out of the villa, crying out Ruki's name.
Miyavi then quickly shifted to the passenger seat, and was able to take in a better look of the gate, where he found Ruki laying in front of it. This time, he had been the one to jump out of his car .He ran to the gate, and quickly reached the laying body. As he stooped to gently carry the weakened figure in his arms, he noticed that the gate was slightly opened and then two feet stopped in front of him. He got himself up, he was now looking at the panicked and shocked expression on Hyde's face.
-W-why? Why did he stay? - spoke Hyde seemingly talking to himself, as he slowly crossed the gate. He didn't seem to acknowledge Miyavi's presence, he was now standing face to face whit his dear Ruki, and as he stared at the pale face of the younger man, we quickly placed both his hands in front of his face mouth, trying to hold back his sobs.
-I-I thought he w-was leaving…and then, then, he fell, and ... - whispered Hyde, as he slowly stretched his hand, towards the younger one's cheek, but Miyavi instinctively pulled the body away form the elder's reach, who became suddenly aware of the taller man.
-I'll take care of him … - whispered Miyavi trying to avoid looking at Hyde's teary face, he then bowed, still holding Ruki in his arms, inhaled and loudly shouted -Sumimansen deshita! I dind't mean to - but Hyde interrupted him
-It wasn't your fault … - he kindly stated, or at least not entirely he then thought to himself.
As Miyavi raised his form up, he rushed to the car, knowing he had already wasted to much time, but Hyde was following right behind him, thus he halted.
-Are you coming to stay with him after he wakes up? - he firmly asked the elder
-You know I can't … - resignedly whispered the other
-Then I don't think you should come - concluded Miyavi as he tried to opened the door to the back seat, still carring Ruki. Noticing the struggle the door, and allowed the taller man, to place the younger in it. Miyavi once more nodded at Hyde, and rushed to the drivers, seat.
The elder then closed the door, with his trembling hands, and as he kept his gaze on the laying body, he quickly backed away, while whispering whispered - Sayonara Takanori-
Miyavi was the one who had brought Ruki to the private clique, and had left his bodyguards to protect Ruki. However, during the younger man's recovery days, he didn't show up, not even once. He didn't think the younger would have appreciated his presence.
This memory had really never left Miyavi's mind, it was actually there to remind him of how he needed to succeed in his endeavor.
He was now parking in front of another building. He swiftly got out, and directed himself towards the entrance. One his way, he got out his cellphone from his pocket, dialed a number by memory, and awaited for the person to answer
-Moshi mo~shi! - jubilantly answered the person on the other side of the phone
-Moshi moshi, Hizaki-sama ... - replied Miyavi in an awaiting tone, he then heard a little giggle from the guitarist who replied
-It's on! -
-Great!- satisfyingly replied Miyavi, and then he resumed speaking
-Are you sure you want to go? because I can- but he was cut off
-I will be fine! Don't you have an interview right about now? - quickly replied the guitarist trying to distracted his lover form his worries
-Yes, I just actually entered the Yahoo building now … - resignedly answered Miyavi
-Ok then, just go in and do your best Mimi-chan! - jokingly replied the guitarist
-Mo~ Would you stop calling me that? ... - lamented the singer
-Icall you whatever I want! So I'll see you later ok? - retorted the guitarist in a playful tone
-Ok … Hizaki-sama? - quickly added the singer
-What?-
-... please be careful - firmly requested the singer
-Hai, hai! - grinned the other, and hanged up the phone
Miyavi hanged up his phone as well, still a bit worried about the encounter that was going to take place between his lover and their source, but decided to keep thinking positively and hoped for the best.
As he excited the elevator, followed by his manager, who had somehow appeared from somewhere, while he was conversing with his boyfriend, he found staff members waiting for him, and he was about to follow them to his changing room when he hard someone yell behind him.
-You can't do this to us! - A young man was standing looking menacing in front of an elder one, who just kept on apologizing, and begged him to lower his voice. Miyavi was now attentively observing the scene, as he got closer he noticed the particularly cute bleach blond boy, and it didn't take him to long to guess what band was causing the havoc.
-We had the agreement long time ago, how dare you set us aside for that pink haired idiot! - concluded the band member
-Oi oi oi , you hurt me there! - sarcastically replied Miyavi, causing the member's of Antique Cafe' to swiftly turn towards him startling. As they took in the image of the person that was standing in front of them, all their gazes shied away, all apart from Takeru's, who was now leaving the man he had just finish yelling at, and abruptly making his way trough his band mates, he placed himself right in front of Miyavi.
-Give it back- angrily hissed the drummer, looking at Miyavi straight in the eyes
-I don't know what you are talking about … - calmly replied the singer, who really didn't know what he was saying, but was beginning to have a clue on what had happen.
-This was supposed to be our interview, our performance, thus back out - demanded the drummer, getting dangerously closer to the singer, as his arm was quickly grabbed by Miku.
Miyavi grinned, as he scratched his head; he had seen right. Because he was part of PSC he had been given priority over any other band. This phenomena had been happening for a while now, but lately had just taking a whole other level, forcing other bands to end up signing a contract with PSC.
-What are you laughing at? - irately asked Takeru
-Nothing, I was just thinking that it had been a while since I saw such a pretty angry face! - replied the singer, leaving the drummer even more angry, as he Kanon, aided their vocalist in keeping the drummer put.
Miyavi gave them another smile and returned to his staff, that was warily observing the scene, fearing the burst of the umpteenth fight. The singer rejoined them, displaying a what? grin as he walked passed them, and before him and his staff could disappear down the hall, he heared Takeru scream behind his back.
-We will never join PSC! -
When I succeed with this, you won't have to... thought Miyavi, as he proceeded seemingly ignoring the words of the drummer, and as he placed himself on the chair, allowing the hairstylist to do her magic, he looked at himself in the mirror, noticing a little mischievous grin on his face, there was no doubt in his mind; PSC was going down.
