I would like to state somewhere that I am having a great appreciation for these new trompe l'oeil docu-dramas. Recently I watched The Squid and the Whale. As my parents are not divorced or having issues, this film lost some of its personal connection but provided an interesting outsider perspective on troubled family lives.
