Heh. I think I know what you mean. I sorted the books at the house and, well, it was something to do I guess.

They're not mine, they're just whatever was in the house. Maybe someone else who was there before they were droned got them? I dunno. American classics and other random stuff.

I see.... may I impose upon you to borrow them? I find the library to be very unsatisfying.

Sure, if they're ones Morgiana won't need. [ A pause. ] --ah. That's the um, I guess you could say, she's the other kid in the house.

I can't say that I've met her. What sort of juve is she?

She's okay. She's not obnoxious or really strange in any way. [ That he's witnessed, but even if she didn't have her powers or was secretly a vampire and just temporarily human or something, something would have come up by now, he thinks. It would just be his luck, too... ]

We've got all drones in the rest of the spots, so it's always a little tense in the house. She's in an earlier grade, too, so we don't see each other much at school.

Ah, that doesn't sound so bad. [ He trails off after Touma mentions all the drones though. ] I see... that must be a burden on you both, then.

[ He shrugs a shoulder. ] It's not that bad. Drones are easy to deal with. Just smile and nod or ignore them, and everyone just goes about their business. Suits me just fine. [ Except, secretly, it's very awkward to be treated so kindly by robotic parents when he has no memories of his own. This town is cruel in subtler ways than most people realize. ]

Are you aware of what happens to people who are droned here? [ Garviel looks towards the dairy with a sad expression on his face. ]
