Yeah, they have that in there but I didn't find that it changed the feel or the character that much at all. It just made me go hmmm a bit.
Thanks. The violence was so so so bad in it. Ooooh, I didn't find that. I thought the love triangle thing was done well, and the political stuff was A+, that parting shot with Crane and the berries, one of the best parts of the whole movie. So haunting and menacing.
The hair, yes. The face no. I just don't see RDJ as him.
I saw it and thought it was really good. I liked the scenes they added on like the control room and seeing haymitch getting sponsors. In the end I even almost felt bad for Seneca *almost* lol. I agree the violent fight scenes were a bit confused and jumbled but it didn't take away 2 much from the movie. Overall it was a great rendition of the books that stayed true to the story. They picked an amazing cast. I really just had to reply because your a fellow Gale lover lol. All my friends hate him and I don't understand why.
WOO GALE FTW! I do not get the hate. He's just <3 the best.
I loved those scenes, pretty much everything they added, I was for. And yes, the cast is just wow. wowowowowow. Especially after having watched a few interviews with them all.
I finally saw the movie today and agree with you so much. Personally the fight scenes didn't bother me that much though. I saw the movie in IMAX but not sure if that made the difference. The thing that actually bothered me the most was how some scenes were completely different from the book. I get editing and all but some changes were unnecessary (like how they changed most of Thresh's part and how Katniss gets the pin).
For me I thought the romance was downplayed a little too much. I know that the book basically is about the politics and how corrupt their system is, but the love triangle still is an important subplot. I get that you don't like Peeta but they barely even showed any interaction between him and Katniss until he said what he did at the interview. Whereas in the book it is shown a little before through his actions.
And I didn't picture Haymitch like that either. But I did think the script gave him some hilarious lines. It actually made me start to like his character.
OOooooh, yeah the pin. I can agree 100% with people who have problems about the pin (I don't personally, because I couldn't remember how she actually got it, LOL, but I can really see where pin-problem-people are coming from). I didn't actually notice that many book-changes, I thought it followed really closely thb, but then you have read it recently and I read it a year ago so, that probably impacts.
agreed, (I don't mind because as I've said, ithe change was in favour of my ship) but I think that whole issue was put really well by someone in a post I read on tumblr (if I can find it I'll link) but what she pretty much said that they chose making Katniss a deeper and better character over giving the peeta/katniss relationship more stuff. And that she'd choose katniss over peeta/katniss everyday. And I agree with all that 100%. I'll try and find the post.
OMG, I LOVED Haymitch in the books, he was easily my favourite character <3 the movie made me go more MEH towards him.
