The scientists and soliders contact us when they have something to say. Once in a while on accident, mostly when they feel like it.

Both of which are few and far between.

Well that's no good. How is it they get in contact with us? And they do let us talk back when they do that, right?

They use these, the PCD's. And yes, providing the link up is not blocked.

I'm on the right devices then, that's something at least. And the right network for their announcements. Wonder if they've got their own little network of locked and hidden things back there behind the wall.

The people from the inner city aren't too talkative. I'm not sure you'd get the answers you'd want.

No harm in trying, is there? Couldn't hurt to ask. If I never ask, I'm certainly not going to get any answers at all.

Well aren't you optimistic.

It's done me pretty well, so far.

Settling in all right, Ms. Tyler? I'm afraid we haven't had much luck contacting the Inner City people. I know they have access to the network, but it seems that they just don't want to talk.

Not that I really blame them, considering this entire affair is their fault.

More or less, yeah. Unohana's been nice enough to tolerate me invading a room here at her nice clinic. S'not bad. Better than having to pay rent, I suppose.

Yeah, seems a bit like a guilty-conscious sort of thing, all that hiding. But maybe if I ask nicely?

She's quite something, isn't she? Sometimes I regret moving away, even to a building nearby.

You know, I'm not sure that's been tried, most everyone here being either quite angry or too happy where they are to try to rock the boat. You never lose anything by asking nicely.

She's a lovely woman, yeah.

I can imagine why. But s'not like they're threatening us for asking questions or anything, so it can't hurt.

Inner city? I didn't know there was one.

Yep. It's apparently where they're keeping all of the high-tech science-y stuff that got us all into this mess here. And the people who got us all in to this mess.

It sounds like they don't like visitors very much.

memory_fixer February 21 2010, 08:01:12 UTC
Oh. Then shouldn't they want to be more talkative to everyone else, especially if they're trying to fix it?

lupa_sub_rosa February 21 2010, 08:16:45 UTC
Dunno. Maybe they don't think there's anyone out here who might know something about other dimensions and how to cross them. Maybe they all have a bit of a guilty conscious after pulling so many people here.

Or, just from what I've seen on the network, maybe they're scared of something out here.

You could try knocking on the gates.

Bit rude to just knock on someone's door without letting 'em know you're coming though, don't you think?

Bit rude to destroy time and space without asking other worlds about it first, too~

I'm really hoping they did that one on accident though. 'Cause if it was on purpose that seems awful.
