I was voted into an engine company last night. I've been assigned some online FEMA training courses but nothing major until I take the "Firefighting Essentials" class that starts in Jan. One of the twins I served with in Iraq is in the company as is a retired Marine Colonel that celebrated his 72nd last night.

The headlines in the regional paper today states that Obama plans to make a number of quick changes as soon as he's sworn in via "Executive Orders."

I pray that these executive orders don't turn out to be specific abuses of power. Saddly no one can tell on that till we see just what exactly his mandates are.

So on my way home today my mount took a durability hit. As a result I was forced to do some quick blacksmithing to repair a bit of her armor. Luckily my forge was right there with all my tools.
