even if you switch glasses the results are going to be the same but the only difference will be with the one you stress yourself out and the other you do not.
That's a good attitude to cultivate. There are things you can't change, so why stress about them?

A lot of companies claim that they "care about" their employees, but the reality is, they don't. Workers for them are a necessary evil, so they look at them in much the same way farms look at dairy cows. They want to get the most profit out of you, and they will do anything to achieve that goal. Then, when the milk runs out, they ship the cow off to the chip-steak factory and bring in a new cow. I wonder what millions of people are going to do when robots like Sophia and Ameca replace them. Anyone who believes that their employer cares about them might as well believe that politicians care about them too.
All depends on the company, of course the ones beholden to stockholders are going to consider their employees as plug-play units.
Some of the more family oriented companies though do actually care about their employees. The company I work for tends to send mixed messages and that probably is because there is a bit of disfunction in my department. The workload is pretty heavy but a huge disconnect exists between manual labor with actual tangible objects and that of cyberspace.
Were undermanned at the manual stuff because there tends to be this belief that manual labor is laymans work.
I call it a bit selfish and self entitled but I do not think it is about profit, its more about the upper echelon always saying yes-yes-yes without knowing WTF sort of workload the employees are already dealing with, something only exasterbated by COVID-19
I know I am replaceable of course but for now I prefer to keep that family feeling in tact even if if feels shallow and disingenuous at times.
