Wow, it's been a long time since I posted here. I used to like it but then everyone moved to FA and Facebook and where ever so there's not much going on here anymore

Belic posted a friends-only post which gives a hint of the cause behind FurFright's demise, but not the full story. If at some point Belic and K'gra wish to share their story with the public, they will do so, if not, then we all must respect their privacy. No furry convention is every obligated, contracted, or guaranteed to continue year to year. I have stated my feelings on the topic of FurFright's ending in my own journal here: http://sunfire.livejournal.com/303672.html
You make a good point. The fans might not like it but it is their life and no one has the right or need to know why it has ended. If some other fur wants to make their own similarly named convention I say go for it. But these people made a thing, shared it, and now it is over. My opinion would be to respect their privacy. Yes Lupine_fox has a point in that the vagueness may spur rumors and the like, yes their might be better ways to handle it. But if they have major personal issues going on, I could only surmise that how people react to their decision is very likely the last thing on their minds.
I would look forward to reading your post on the topic Sunfire, I think its friends locked though.
With the offer to help, that settles most of my thoughts on the matter, sets me back to, "lets wait and see." And I am rather content in that state too.
I ran it through my thoughts and I just can't think up a personal reason that would prevent the handover, though I can think of a few reasons, and oddly those made me feel less about the conchairs rather then more forgiving.
So my lack of imagination has ended up making me less forgiving, and yet I know this, and so I make a special point of being forgiving whenever this is discussed in any way and I chime in.
That's my point. What done is done though and hopefully whatever is happening to Belic and Krga will be resolved and they can more on with positive things in their lives.
Normally I might agree with you as to the question of why it should end, but my feeling is this Lupine_Fox. If we were talking Furfright pre 2009 I would say OK yeah ending it without really giving a cause leaves a sour taste in my mouth. However since 2009 the big charity function that Furfright supported was the US War Dog Association and with that support they sorta created a certain identity in much the same way that Mephit Furmeet is associated with Tiger Haven
