Oh, the self-loathing and the self-deprecation and oh god, I hope he backs out on the sale at the last moment because it just wouldn't be right! *bawl*

But like ekaterin24 said, I feel my Remus trading the bike. I mean, he doesn't know that Sirius isn't evil right now, and it's just too much for him, to remember anything at all.

Wow, just lovely! You've definitely got Remus' voice down, and it's skillfully written. I love the effort you put into describing details. The flashback bits were gorgeous. And Dumbledore's pie was a stroke of brilliance. ^^

Brilliant in all ways--thank you! Your Remus is *perfect*, even to getting rid of the bike in exchange for decent plumbing (and to try to get rid of the memories it brings up, you didn't even need to write that...)

Yes, Dumbledore is the sort to travel across the 'pond' for truly excellent pie--and to pay the owner $10K in Muggle American dollars for it. Remember, this is the wizard who sees himself with a pair of *socks* in the Mirror of Erised (or so he says...)

correction: In my first paragraph, "you didn't even need to write that" should be "you didn't even need to write that for it to come across--Remus' reaction to the bike and his memories implies it"

lol. I wonder if we'll ever find out if that's what he truly sees. I wonder if the Mirror of Erised will come back into play. Anyways! Thanks for taking the time to read, and I'm glad you liked it. :)

It truely was just lovely. And such wonderful characterization of Dumbledore! that makes me giggle. totally something he'd do.

It actually took me a minute to figure out about the dog Remus was talking about to the plumber, but I thought that was a wonderful little addition. Even more insight into the loath he has for his affliction.

Great piece.

Thanks so much for reading! I tend to avoid writing Dumbledore because it's just so hard to get into his head, but I thought that he came off mysterious, albeit kind, enough to still feel all Dumbledore-y. Thanks, honey, especially for noticing the dog bit. One of my favorite parts!

This was really good! I've often thought about what happened to Sirius's bike after Hagrid used it. I just figured Hagrid probably crushed it with his enormous butt and had to lose the evidence. Not that anyone would notice it's absence I guess, lol!! Anyways, this was so sad! Poor Remus! And excellently written. Great job!
