We agree on most Things that were awesome: Romo Lampkin returns Yeah, I changed my mind in this episode -- I never warmed to him as a character either in Crossroads or in Sine Qua Non.
Speaking of Kara with Sam, I loved that she chose to be the one who stayed with him. And I love, love, love that Lee was about to jepordize everything to help her and she had to yell at him to save his dad! I know I know. I actually was astounded that Kara chose to stay with Sam while Bill Adama and Galactica was in danger. I've always had a personal fanon that Kara would dump either Sam or Lee IFF Bill Adama specifically told her too. Or if she could only save either Galactica, Sam, Lee or Bill ... it would be the daddy figure. I think I lean towards K/S more than K/L, but really all I want is for Kara is to get more hugs from anybody. Somebody hug her already.
Tyrol, who climed around the ship for hours and finally ripped the heart of it out to save them. Very cool! *Nods* I know. I feel that Gaeta's fate will probably get more attention

"I loved number three"? I think I'm missing that reference. Yeah, my bad. Kelly was "second" I guess. I had to rewatch episode 201 to find out the chain of command. When Adama was shot in CiC, Gaeta informed Kelly that The Colonel was in command and he (Kelly) is second. (So I guess in normal times, AND when wasn't in the brig he was THREE in charge = 3iC).
Only Zarek commits fraud or something (but it can't be proved) and wins and Adama can't quite bring himself to depose the president just for being a man he despises. Instead he gathers the civilian ships together and forms a Council of Captains. In effect, he tries to isolate Zarek and his Quorum from having any real power and to an extent he succeeds. So the government is divided between two forces--a central government that is democratic in name only, and a military-led, quasi fedual system.
Interesting! I love that Council of Captains - its very much like my thoughts, you know about the ship captains essentially being governors.
