It would appear that today's emerging church has finally stumbled upon a Jesus that won't fit in a man-made, governed, structured and institutionalized box. There's plenty to say about that. Let's just cover a few of the basics.

I found your LJ through the discussion you had at the Celtic Christian community, which I found when I looked up communities with an interest in religion. I am a somewhat troubled Christian who agrees with "dewrabbit"'s idea of revisiting the Reformation--I think there is a different kind of Christianity out there than the one I grew up with, and I too note a difference between Emergent and Emerging--but more than anything I am simply looking to believe in God again and (hopefully, at the end of this road) look like Christ.

All that to say...can we be friends?
