I turn 30 in 4 days. Nothing is happening. I'll spend the day with the three people who care about me the most. I'm spending tomorrow with Carl, who's probably number 4 on that list. It would appear that today's emerging church has finally stumbled upon a Jesus that won't fit in a man-made, governed, structured and institutionalized box. There's plenty to say about that. Let's just cover a few of the basics.

Brian McLaren's "A Generous Orthodoxy" makes me proud to be a Christian again. I thank God for sending emergent theology into my life to renew my faith. Read this book, seriously. If some of the words are too big or unfamiliar, talk to me when you get confused. -

One of the beautiful things about giftings and talents is that they can not be revoked. While man can strip you of your dignity, your position, your title and your honor, only God and God alone could ever take away a talent or gift that is from Him.
