So i just got fired from my next job. So basically now I am screwed. I had a whole budget and plan to get out of debt and now I am not going to be able to do any of it. I dont know what I am going to do. They say bad news comes in threes. So now no job in addition to no boyfriend. Whats the third... I have the horrible thought that its going to be

exiting in life? I dunno about exitement per se. My life is pretty predicable and even humdrum much of the time, but it is nonetheless interesting, and I'm not bored. I don't think you need exitement as long as your mind has new things to think about. I guess that's what being in school is like though. If I was a working stiff, I might feel differently. But I don't think you *need* to be in school to be kept from boredom in that way. But then, I've always bene the type to like stability, so go figure.

Wherever you go, there you are. A fulfilling life can be very boring at times, while an exciting life can be all empty calories. Having goals in mind has helped me along the way. Not necessarily immediate, realistic, practical goals, but I have them anyway. Have some goals, and go about looking for opportunities to work towards them.

yes but where does one get goals? I have some personal goals about how i would like to be with other people. more open, less critical, more helpful, less snobby... etc
but I dont have any goals except maybe get out of debt.
I mean find a fufilling career is a goal but its is really waaay to vauge.
exciting i sperhaps the wrong word. i dont mean exciting in the titilation type of way but more in the fufilling frame of mind. feeling like your contributing and sucessful, enriched by the job you are doing is kinda what i am looking for.
but then i get bored when things are easy for more than a couple of days. probably an issue is buried somewhere in there that I should be finding and confronting and dealing with.
