It's considered "preventative care" state insurance (http://health.utah.gov/pcn/ in case you're curious) It covers primary care docs (5 a pop copay) 4 prescriptions (5 a pop or 25% of cost if name brand) syringes and glucose meter test strips (again 5 each but don't count toward prescription limit but have to have a prescription) dentist (14 for exam and 5 for cavities) vision (no glasses, just exam) ambulance ride (free! oooh that might be a fun ride) some emergency room visits (specific things wrong and has to becoded as a a critical emergency)
does not cover: anything else. No specialists (yay for a diabetic like me) no surgeries (not even emergency ones)
I was using a different program to see my specialists.. it was done through my clinic I go to (free clinic) called HAT I think it's called health acceptance something... I forget.
