I have to admit, every four years I get very excited when the gymnastics (or figure skating, in the winter) come on. The American's women team has to be the most amazing group I've ever seen. Mostly good, but starts with bad. My dad lost his iPhone 6 plus on Tuesday. He thinks he left it at the post office, but when he went back, it was gone. I tried calling a couple of times, but at first it just rang, and then went immediately to voicemail. I bought a Star Trek movie blu-ray at Target yesterday, and won a free ticket to Star Trek Beyond!

My fellow Americans, have a happy, safe fourth of July! I'm having a barbecue, ten guests, but two just cancelled. It looks like rain, though. Sigh.

I was so saddened to hear that Anton Yelchin, most famous as Chekov in the new Star Trek movies, died in a tragic accident this morning. What a bright, talented young man.

Today my niece Skylar is officially a year and a half old. Time sure does fly! It really does- my father turned 73 on Wednesday.
