Gathering
T and I drove out to the Lexington branch of Sweet Berry Farms and picked blackberries and a few strawberries today. It's roughly 47 miles from town, and the berries are $2.50/lb. So, we spent $3.11/lb total for 13.5 lb of berries. I checked the blackberry prices at Central Market afterward, and it's $5.99 for one of those little 6 oz. containers, ( Read more... ) -

I am supposed to be on a plane heading to Chicago on my way to London, but there is a ground delay in Chicago that would have made it impossible to make my connecting flight, and that was the last one of the day.

I was in Minneapolis this week at the 54th Annual STC Conference, henceforth titled the Technical Communication Summit. Minneapolis is a very nice city. They even have a Rock Bottom Brewery, which is a nice touch of home. (Yes I know they're a chain, but they started in Colorado and it feels homey. Sadness and Fear
Seeing the news today was a punch in the gut. The people in Blacksburg, VA and all the homes of people whose children attend the school now are in a horrible netherworld of dread while they wait for the dead to be identified and their names to be released.
