Title: "Learning by Example" Author:luvvycat Characters: Jack Sparrow, Will Turner Rating: PG13/Soft R BPS Prompt: Love Word count: 100 Disclaimer: PotC is Disney's, not mine. *sniff*
Ha ha, I can so see this. The scene starts at a weird place where Will may have actually been rambling about his dad, only to use it as a way to confront Jack about what he knows. It would be hilarious and yet oddly in-character for Will to go on and on about Elizabeth on their way to Tortuga. She is the catalyst of the whole thing, after all. And I can so see Jack kind of getting fed up with it and half-teasingly/half-seriously suggesting this sort of thing.
"Surely you're not suggesting I avail myself of these women's...favours."--lol, Will blushing and caught offguard would be a fun thing to see. He always seems so controlled and able to keep his emotions in check most of the time. Later on he'll know Jack well enough to know the man would never deprive himself of what he wanted. Ah well, hence the "more acquaintance than friend" line.
Oh, and I'm sure you made the j/w slash minority out there very happy with this one too.

LOL! Yes, in CotBP there was very much the air about Will of a lovesick schoolboy nursing a huge crush. I can imagine the worldly-wise Jack, rolling his eyes listening to Will natter on about Elizabeth and her virtues, wanting to throw a bucket of cold water (figuratively, or literally) on Will's "enthusiasm." And I think Jack just can't resist having a bit of fun with someone he perceives as being almost dangerously gullible and naive.

And Will was SO easy to fluster in CotBP (a situation that Jack never failed to take advantage of)! ;-)

Oh, Bad!Jack is just irresistible. And this is such a plausible scenario, too, lol! Lovely fill-in scene for CotBP, thank you so much for the little gift!
Ain't he, though? Jack is truly at his best when he's being his naughtiest. ;-)
And this is such a plausible scenario, too, lol!
So glad you think so! Jack seemed to delight in teasing Will in CotBP, and also seemed intent on making sure Bootstrap's "whelp" learned some important life lessons (though I'm sure there are some "tutorials" Will just isn't ready to handle, yet). ;-D

I really do enjoy writing those "missing scenes", imagining what might have happened in-between the canonical ones! I'm tickled that you seem to enjoy these, too, and consider them "gifts"! :-)
Thank you so much for taking the time to read, and Comment! And apologies for not being as active around here lately (Real Life issues interfering again, eating up my free time, and sapping my creative energies). :-( Hope to do better in future.

As Mae West once (famously) said: "Goodness has nothin' to do with it!" (particularly when it comes to Jack!) ;-)
What a tease!
Well, that's our Jack for you! And Will is so easy to tease! (Though the question remains: is Jack just teasing, or is he being serious?)
I'd love to see Will's reaction to that!
Wouldn't we all? ;-D
Great little drabble. :)
Thank you! I'm so glad you enjoyed it! :-)

Ahem. Sorry for lack of words.
(*g*)
Why I've a suspicion that it means wenches are Jack's, but the shillin' is Will's...

That's okay! As far as I'm concerned, a grin is worth a thousand words! :-)

Of course! Why pay for your own pleasures, when you can get somebody else to do it? (And if anyone could pull that off, t'would be Jack!) ;-D
Thanks so much for reading, your comments (and the grins)! :-)
