i got the thakoon internship! they called me today and told me that they thought i was fantastic, but their only stipulation is that i work for them exclusively, which i find irritating, but which i do understand. i find out about kors today ... what should i do?!!! (edit: i got the kors one too ... dilemma

congratulations! i would prefer thakoon over kors. i'm assuming it's a more intimate working environment also.

it is. just three people! all of whom i seemed to get along with quite well ... you know those vibes you just get from meeting with others. plus i think i'd learn a lot more from thakoon himself as i would be fulfilling more of an assistant designer position as he does not have one now!

i second the thakoon as well, seeing as how youve already had the experience of working with a larger company (anna sui etc) and you can only benefit more from taking part in such an intimate environment like that of thakoon or cloak last summer than something well, so big and corporate.

but yeah, id go with thakoon, ive loved his editorial styling for years and years. so congrats and good luck, and real great work in your last entry, i really love your vision of men, its very thoughful to say the least. i cant wait to one day wear some jennifer eng of my own.

you're right; the idea behind working with a smaller company for me is that when i venture out on my own some day i will have some idea of what i am doing ... and i would love to include menswear into my label! i decided it this semester after being so challenged and then falling in love with making men's clothing.
