( Two months after the deaths, after they go back to pretending like life is normal, Jeremy gets sick. Ric has never known how to be a father; never read any of the books. And yet, somehow he ends up as the father to a rag tag gang of teenage heroes; somehow he ends up as the legal guardian to two children, a head strong daughter even more beautiful than her mother and one very sick son, feverish and calling out the names of ghosts of the past. )

Gah! There is so much in this story that is just too perfect for words. I love that Bonnie uses magic to fix her grades, and Alaric has to put an end to that. I love that he takes care of Jeremy. I love that Damon's just there for not only Elena, but Alaric as well.

And now, I really have a craving for Oreos. ;)

is basically my entire reaction to this. Poor Alaric, left on his own to take care of his students. I love his rules! And I love that he gets to know them in very specific ways and tries to give them what they need individually. Sighhh.

I want this to be S3! I don't even care. :D

I don't think you understand how much I want this to be season 3. Papa!Ric just hanging out, making them go to school and learning how to iron.

I love Ric as parental figure, the only one grown up they now have, the only one they can talk with about things nobody else understand.

And kind-of-father-son-but-not-really relationship between Ric and Jeremy is my kink for some time now.

Ric is so secretly Giles, and so secretly even Damon's parent/best friend for evaaa, and he just makes sure that the kids are still kids and have curfews and pass 11th/10th grade and if this isn't exactly how season 3 goes I won't know what to do with myself. =)

Around ep 2x15 I wrote fic about Alaric being so Giles, but it is in Polish.

Lets hope for more Ric in season three.

i wrote myself into fic corner! it's a problem. but there's already around a 1000 words, so I might just sleep on it. i'm just so glad there's so much love for Papa!Giles!Alaric. =)
