[What is this, a social call? Roxas stays where he stepped out even as the portal whirls closed, and makes a sort of generally unimpressed face. He nods at Soubi but, since there's no sea-salt ice cream today, doesn't make a verbal greeting.]
... Are you going to have a conversation with everyone whose apartment you walk into?
[It's not a complaint, really; he just finds it strange.]
W-Well, I felt bad for the guy that we barged in on. And Mister Soubi's my friend . . . Then yeah, I guess so. [Wait, why was he taking her hand? Was there something wrong? Maybe with Ritsu, or Seimei! Crap, hadn't Kio mentioned that Soubi was angry before? Or . . . wait. Why was he looking at Roxas like that? Was something wrong between them?] Glad to hear it.

The guy didn't even mind. Why did you?
[Roxas notices the glance because he's just full of perceptiveness today. ... Or because Hiyori noticed, and when Hiyori notices something, it's not subtle.
This time, he gazes right back without expression. He has no idea what's going on any more than Hiyori does. Then again, has he ever?]
He was about to draw his non-existent sword when we showed up, and then he threatened us. Plus it's common curtosy. [Okay, so something was definitely wrong here, but what? And it would take a good deal of effort to get even the littlest details out of Soubi.
So, maybe Roxas would tell her. Except for the fact he wasn't so good at picking up cues from others. Maybe he accidentally said something to offend him? Or did something that reminded Soubi of some of his so-called 'masters'.
Then again, either way, it wasn't like something that she could ask one in front of the other.] Are you sure?

[Roxas shrugs a shoulder.]
How do you know? Half the stuff he was saying didn't even make sense.
[He's not really paying attention, though. That's three times that the portals haven't worked. By now, Roxas is more than a little suspicious. Things like this don't just happen - especially not to him.
Ignoring Hiyori and Soubi both, he strides past the latter and towards the actual apartment door. Soubi can wait. For now, he's much more interested in figuring out why things are going so wrong.]

No, it's not. The portal must've gone wrong again.

Roxas.
[And then a smile.]
Hiyori-chan.

I'm fine.
[A glance at Roxas, intensely quiet.]
